Rakennusten koristemaalausten restaurointi

Maisterin tutkielmassani tarkastelen koristemaalattujen rakennuspintojen restauroinnin ilmiötä ja sen kehittymistä nykyiseen muotoonsa. Rakennuspintojen restaurointi sisältää erilaisia toimia konservoinnista uusien osien toteuttamiseen sisältäen myös rekonstruoinnin. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on selvittää, miten rakennussuojelun arvotaustan muodostuminen liittyy näihin restaurointitoimenpiteisiin ja miten rakennuspitojen restaurointi on muuttunut 1960-luvulta alkaen. This report gives an overview of the Con3Post project1 research that analyses a new and understudied phenomenon of posting third country nationals (TCNs) in the European construction sector, with a special focus on the posting flow involving workers from Ukraine being posted to Finland and Estonia through Poland. The research highlights severe regulatory challenges related to the phenomenon. These include posted TCNs being exposed to multiple vulnerabilities that are even more extreme than intra-European Union (EU) posted workers are usually exposed to. In addition to investing in athletic development, adolescent elite athletes are expected to complete their secondary education. As a result of this expectation and the demands of sport and education, they may struggle to sustain high levels of motivation for both domains. Grounded in theoretical tenets of empowering coaching, this study sought to explore student–athletes’ perceptions of empowering and disempowering motivational climates and their possible implications for athletes’ dual career experiences. Speciation of Sb in airborne particulate matter, vehicle brake linings, and brake pad wear residues

Insights into the speciation of Sb in samples of brake linings, brake pad wear residues, road dust, and atmospheric particulate matter PM10 and PM2.5 were obtained combining several well established and advanced characterization techniques, such as scanning electron microscopy e energy dispersive spectrometry (SEM-EDS), inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and synchrotron radiation X-ray absorption spectroscopy (SR-XAS). The advantage of SR-XAS is that samples do not undergo any chemical treatment prior to measurements, thus excluding possible alterations. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan kampuskappelisuunnitelmaa, jonka Jyväskylän kasvatusopillisen korkeakoulun ylioppilaskunta tilasi arkkitehti Alvar Aallolta (1898–1976) vuonna 1961. Kappeli oli tarkoitus rakentaa vuoden 1964 lopulla valmistuneen ylioppilastalon osaksi. Kyseessä on taidehistoriallinen tapaustutkimus, erityisesti eri prosessivaiheista muodostuvan suunnittelukokonaisuuden selvitys. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan Aallon toimiston laatimia neljänlaisia luonnoksia kiinnittäen huomiota kappelin sijaintiin, muotoon, ja sisätilaratkaisuihin. Precision measurement of the magnetic octupole moment in 45Sc as a test for state-of-the-art atomic- and nuclear-structure theory

We report on measurements of the hyperfine $A, B$ and $C$-constants of the $3d4s^2 ~^2D_{5/2}$ and $3d4s^2 ~^2D_{3/2}$ atomic states in $^{45}$Sc. High-precision atomic calculations of the hyperfine fields of these states and second-order corrections are performed, and are used to extract $C_{5/2}=-0.06(6)$ kHz and $C_{3/2}=+0.04(3)$ kHz from the data. These results are one order of magnitude more precise than the available literature. From the combined analysis of both atomic states, we infer the nuclear magnetic octupole moment $\Omega = -0.07(53) \mu_N b$, including experimental and atomic structure-related uncertainties. Dip catalysts are attracting interest in both academia and industry for catalyzing important chemical reactions. These provide excellent stability, better recoverability, recyclability, and easy scale-up. Using the unique microstructures of leaf skeletons, we present a fractal-like hierarchical surface that can be used as a versatile and efficient dip catalyst. Copper oxide microcactuses with nanoscalar features were fabricated onto the Bauhinia racemosa leaf skeletons via a combination of physical vapor deposition, electroplating, and chemical oxidation methods.
