Trematode cercariae as prey for zooplankton: effect on fitness traits of predators.

AbstractRemoval of parasite free-living stages by predators has previously been suggested an important factor controlling parasite transmission in aquatic habitats. Experimental studies of zooplankton predation on macroparasite larvae are, however, scarce. We tested whether trematode cercariae, which are often numerous in shallow waters, are suitable prey for syntopic zooplankters. Epäonnistuneen kieltolain myötä Suomeen laadittiin itsenäisyyden ajan ensimmäinen väkijuomalaki. Väkijuomalain myötä yksityiset henkilöt, yhdistykset, järjestöt sekä yksityiset kerhot saattoivat perustaa anniskeluravintoloita. Tässä tutkielmassa tarkastellaan Jyväskyläläisiä anniskeluravintoloiden anniskeluoikeusprosessia ja ravintoloiden valvontaa kieltolain päättymisestä vuonna 1932 talvisodan syttymiseen syystalvella vuonna 1939. The purpose of this study was to describe changes in dietary macronutrient and energy intake, total physical activity and body composition during a 6-month deployment in South Lebanon. Disparities in nutritional adequacy of diets between different socioeconomic groups of Finnish adults

Information on dietary adequacy is needed to assess food and nutrition security in a modern society, especially in the transition towards climate-friendly food systems. In this study, differences in the nutritional adequacy of diets among Finnish adults were evaluated in population groups of different education, income and urbanisation levels. The study used data from the FinDiet 2017 Survey (n = 1655, 18–74 years).
