Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease caused by mutations that impair the function of the CFTR chloride channel. The most frequent mutation, F508del, causes misfolding and premature degradation of CFTR protein. This defect can be overcome with pharmacological agents named “correctors”. So far, at least three different classes of correctors have been identified based on the additive/synergistic effects that are obtained when compounds of different classes are combined together. El dolor agudo postoperatorio es una causa importante de morbilidad perioperatoria. La pregabalina (PGB), análogo del GABA, interacciona con sub-unidades de los canales de calcio α-2-δ, produciendo una reducción en la liberación de neurotransmisores y una disminución de la hiperexcitabilidad neuronal. En los últimos años se han realizado estudios que demuestran las propiedades analgésicas de la pregabalina administrada en el pre y postoperatorio durante las primeras 24 h de distintos procedimientos quirúrgicos.
