Introduction The Nesbit procedure is the most common surgical technique to correct congenital or acquired penile curvature. It is a common opinion that this surgical procedure has to be completed with a circumcision to prevent foreskin necrosis or phimosis. Computed tomography (CT) was performed in 28 patients 2 weeks to 120 months after enucleation of renal cell carcinoma. The postoperative defect could be exactly localized in all patients. A wedge-shaped (N = 11) or concave (N = 9) morphology was typical. No dependence between morphology of the defect and localization or size of the tumor or the operative technique was observed. The defects were smaller (1.9 cm) than the original prominent tumors (3.6 cm). Defect size was dependent on the operative technique: closure by suture of the renal capsule in smaller defects or by fat flap in larger ones. Of 273 male patients who underwent radical cystoprostatectomy between 1967 and 1987, 22 were regarded as at risk for urethral recurrence. These patients underwent simultaneous primary urethrectomy or urethrectomy shortly after cystectomy because of the histology of the cystectomy specimen. Of the remaining 251 patients a urethral recurrence was observed in 23 (9.2%). A patient with a urethral recurrence originally had undergone an operation at another hospital. The first urethral tumor recurrence was observed in 1977 but between October 1987 and May 1988, 7 patients were treated for an initial or secondary urethral recurrence. Its severity ranges from asymptomatic, incidentally discovered subsegmental thrombi to massive, pressor-dependent PE complicated by cardiogenic shock and multisystem organ failure. The objective of this study was to determine the utility of measuring plasma NT-proBNP levels in patients with acute coronary syndromes.
