Ni-Based Catalysts for Low Temperature Methane Steam Reforming: Recent Results on Ni-Au and Comparison with Other Bi-Metallic Systems

2013

Steam reforming of light hydrocarbons provides a promising method for hydrogen production. Ni-based catalysts are so far the best and the most commonly used catalysts for steam reforming because of their acceptably high activity and significantly lower cost in comparison with alternative precious metal-based catalysts. However, nickel catalysts are susceptible to deactivation from the deposition of carbon, even when operating at steam-to-carbon ratios predicted to be thermodynamically outside of the carbon-forming regime. Reactivity and deactivation by carbon formation can be tuned by modifying Ni surfaces with a second metal, such as Au through alloy formation. In the present review, we su…

Screening of ceria-based catalysts for internal methane reforming in low temperature SOFC

2010

Gaudillere, Cyril Vernoux, Philippe Mirodatos, Claude Caboche, Gilles Farrusseng, David 6th World Congress on Oxidation Catalysis (6WCOC) JUL 05-10, 2009 Lille, FRANCE; International audience; Ceria-based catalysts have been assessed for internal methane reforming at low temperature (400-600 C) in Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) A combinatorial library of 15 metal (Cu Pt Ni) supported ceria was prepared using wet impregnation method The ceria-based oxides are undoped or doped with metal transition (Zr) or by rare earth (Gd or Pr) The effect of the metal the dopant and the surface area on the catalytic performances was investigated in high-throughput manner using a 16-parallel reactor The catal…

Methanol fuel processor and PEM fuel cell modeling for mobile application

2010

International audience; The use of hydrocarbon fed fuel cell systems including a fuel processor can be an entry market for this emerging technology avoiding the problem of hydrogen infrastructure. This article presents a 1 kW low temperature PEM fuel cell system with fuel processor, the system is fueled by a mixture of methanol and water that is converted into hydrogen rich gas using a steam reformer. A complete system model including a fluidic fuel processor model containing evaporation, steam reformer, hydrogen filter, combustion, as well as a multi-domain fuel cell model is introduced. Experiments are performed with an IDATECH FCS1200™ fuel cell system. The results of modeling and experi…

Imam M. Tawhidi i jego propozycja reformy islamu w świetle tradycji muzułmańskiej i współczesnej sytuacji społeczno-politycznej

2018

W epoce wzrastającego zagrożenia ze strony terroryzmu i fundamentalizmu rola dialogu międzykulturowego i międzyreligijnego staje się jeszcze donioślejsza niż dotychczas. Wśród osób podejmujących wysiłek zbudowania pola do trudnej dyskusji szczególną rolę odgrywają autorytety i reformatorzy religijni.
