Model adducts to be used in the identification of biologically formed adducts were synthesized by reaction of fjord-region dibenzo[a,l]pyrene 11,12-dihydrodiol 13,14-epoxides (DB[a,l]PDE) and deoxyadenosine (dA). The (+/-)-anti-DB[a,l]PDE was reacted with dA in dimethylformamide at 100 degrees C for 30 min to give four DB[a, l]PDE-14-N(6)dA adducts: (-)-anti-trans (26%), (+)-anti-trans (26%), (-)-anti-cis (17%), and (+)-anti-cis (17%). All-R/all-S enantiomers of oligoalanines (Ala(n), n = 1-10) with N-terminal protection group have been separated by HPLC on chiral stationary phases based on various cinchona alkaloid selectors. Structure-enantioselectivity relationships derived by extensive selector structure optimization provided insights into binding mechanisms and chiral recognition. Their interpretation was supported by X-ray crystal structures of amino acid and dipeptide, respectively, in complex with chiral selector. As an alternative to classical QSAR studies, in this work different quantitative retention–activity relationships (QRAR) models are proposed, which are able to describe the role of hydrophobicity on the binding affinity to different brain monoamine receptors (H 1 -histamine, α 1 -noradrenergic and 5-HT 2 -serotonergic) of different families of psychotherapeutic drugs. Bond-based 3D-chiral linear indices: Theory and QSAR applications to central chirality codification

The recently introduced non-stochastic and stochastic bond-based linear indices are been generalized to codify chemical structure information for chiral drugs, making use of a trigonometric 3D-chirality correction factor. These improved modified descriptors are applied to several well-known data sets to validate each one of them. Abstract This paper considers two issues: the formation of inter-firm relationships, and the choice of governance form. These have been widely investigated in both the strategic management and operations management fields. This paper contributes to the literature in three ways. Sticking with your university: the importance of satisfaction, trust, image, and shared values

In a context of increasing competition and financial difficulties for higher education institutions, alumni loyalty is a key factor for survival and success. This study tests a model derived from a relationship marketing perspective to investigate the roles of four variables (brand image, trust, satisfaction, and shared values) in the direct and indirect explanation of alumni loyalty. Based on a literature review, a theoretical model is proposed and tested through structural equations modeling for a sample of 1000 university alumni. How do CEOs react to attainment discrepancies in their organizations' performance? Scholars have generally argued that (only) when performance falls below a certain aspiration level do CEOs intend to change the organization's strategy. However, empirical evidence on this issue is ambiguous and inconclusive.
