Este trabajo pretende, en primer lugar, cuestionar extendidas concepciones de la tecnología que la presentan como mera aplicación de los conocimientos científicos y que están contribuyendo a una imagen distorsionada y empobrecida de la naturaleza de la ciencia y la tecnología y, consecuentemente, al desinterés e incluso rechazo hacia su estudio. En segundo lugar se presentan los resultados de una investigación cuyo objetivo es analizar en qué medida dichas concepciones afectan incluso al profesorado encargado de la alfabetización tecnológica. Finalmente se aborda la transformación de dichas concepciones.

The “user” is an ambiguous concept in human-computer interaction and information systems. Analyses of users as social actors, participants, or configured users delineate approaches to studying design-use relationships. Here, a developer’s reference to a figure of speech, termed the “average user,” is contrasted with design guidelines. This conceptual article deals with components and concepts of transformative learning, emphasizing the organization-level perspective on critical reflection. Isomorphism of Pitch and Time

An ongoing debate regarding the perception of pitch and time is whether information on the two dimensions is processed independently or interactively. To study this, we tested whether listeners prefer sequences in which tonally stable tones coincide with rhythmically stable tones. Our study builds on a noted isomorphism between pitch intervals in the diatonic scale and tone durations in the standard rhythm originating in Ghana. This isomorphism is shown in a) the maximally even structure of 2212221 and b) the cyclic nature with seven possible starting points.
