The pleasure evoked by sad music is mediated by feelings of being moved

Why do we enjoy listening to music that makes us sad? This question has puzzled music psychologists for decades, but the paradox of “pleasurable sadness” remains to be solved. Recent findings from a study investigating the enjoyment of sad films suggest that the positive relationship between felt sadness and enjoyment might be explained by feelings of being moved (Hanich et al., 2014). The aim of the present study was to investigate whether feelings of being moved also mediated the enjoyment of sad music. Bakalaura darbā tika izvirzīta hipotēze par negatīvu sakarību starp priekštatu par uztverto partnera melu biežumu un apmierinātību ar attiecībām. Tika veikts korelatīvs pētījums, kopumā pētījumā piedalījās 121 cilvēks, 90 sievietes, vecums M = 27,62, SD = 8,13 un 31 vīrietis M = 31,32, SD = 9,42. kā arī, lai varētu izmantot iegūtos datus, cilvēkiem bija jāatrodas partnerattiecībās. Energiapuuta käytetään yhä enemmän uusiutuvan energian lähteenä. Energiapuun korjuussa hakkuutähteitä eli kantoja, oksia ja latvuksia kerätään päätehakkuun ja harvennuksen yhteydessä hakkuualoilta. Tämä vähentää erityisesti pienikokoisen lahopuun ja kantojen määrää. Lahopuu on tärkeä resurssi boreaalisissa metsissä, mutta sen määrä talousmetsissä on alhainen luonnonmetsiin verrattuna. Understanding altered contractile properties in advanced age : insights from a systematic muscle modelling approach

Age-related alterations of skeletal muscle are numerous and present inconsistently, and the effect of their interaction on contractile performance can be nonintuitive. Hill-type muscle models predict muscle force according to well-characterised contractile phenomena. Coupled with simple, yet reasonably realistic activation dynamics, such models consist of parameters that are meaningfully linked to fundamental aspects of muscle excitation and contraction. Questo contributo propone un’analisi delle relazioni genitoriali poste in essere nelle famiglie italiane degli anni Cinquanta. Seguendo le suggestioni della recente Visual History, viene scelto il cinema come fonte cui attingere per ricostruire i rapporti tra madre e padre che, nel “decennio più lungo del secolo breve”, si avviavano ad una lenta ridefinizione.
