First Evidence of Contourite Drifts in the North-Western Sicilian Active Continental Margin (Southern Tyrrhenian Sea)

We present the results of an integrated geomorphological and seismo-stratigraphic study based on high resolution marine data acquired in the north-western Sicilian continental margin. We document for the first time five contourite drifts (marked as EM1a, EM2b, EM2, EM3a, and EM3b), located in the continental slope at depths between ca. 400 and 1500 m. EM1a,b have been interpreted as elongated mounded drifts. EM1a,b are ca. 3 km long, 1.3 km wide, and have a maximum thickness of 36 m in their center that thins northwards, while EM1b is smaller with a thickness up to 24 m. Insufficient literature has been produced addressing children with borderline intellectual functioning (BIF) and gifted intellectual functioning (GIF). The goal of this work is to compare levels of self-esteem, depression, anxiety at school, and insecurity among children with BIF and GIF, and a control group of average intellectual functioning (AIF). There were participants of 104 children (fourth grade of primary school). Analyses revealed that children with BIF showed a lower level of self-esteem and higher levels of depression and school anxiety. This dataset contains all three phases of data collection from the survey study Fear of Childbirth, Birth Experiences, Self-Esteem and Parental Burnout. The data contains answers from participants (n=125) in late pregnancy (30+ weeks in gestation) and postpartum (4-8 weeks after childbirth and 1 year after childbirth). The data is collected in 2020-2021 from four Finnish cities. Participants have completed background information (in pregnancy), fear of childbirth scale (W-DEQ, all three time points), Rosenberg self-esteem scale (all three time points), and Delivery Satisfaction scale (only 4-8 weeks postpartum). Recalled parental rearing style, self-esteem, and psychopathological symptoms in the general population

The enduring impact of perceived parental behavior on self-esteem as well as anxiety and depression in adults is still unknown. In a large random route sample (age range 18?92), 4,747 subjects were asked to complete questionnaires about recalled parental rearing, selfesteem, anxiety, and depression. Structural equation modeling was used, and the data from the mother and the father version of the FEE (a questionnaire for recalled parental rearing) were analyzed separately. A model proposing that self-esteem mediates the relationship between parental behavior and psychopathological symptoms fits the data rather well (CFI = .95, RMSEA = .05, TLI = .94). AbstractSocially prescribed perfectionism (SPP) has been shown to be a risk factor for parental burnout (Sorkkila & Aunola, 2020). In the present study, we investigated the moderating role of self-esteem in this association. A total of 479 Finnish mothers of infants filled in questionnaires measuring their self-esteem, SPP, and symptoms of parental burnout. Abstract Ninety-nine families with a school-age child participated in this study, aimed at analysing the relationship between parenting and children's help seeking. The parenting data included self-reports on parents' child-rearing principles and behavioural observations during parent–child interactions. To test help seeking, the children were placed in a problem-solving situation and had the opportunity to seek help from the experimenter. The doubly fed induction generator (DFIG)-based wind energy conversion system (WECS) suffers from voltage and frequency fluctuations due to the stochastic nature of wind speed as well as nonlinear loads. The subject matter is developed around the Other, their presence and their personalising in the literary-cultural space. The reality becomes the source of observation (fiction and non-fiction) and reveals not only a variety of human experience in the world of multiculturalism, but also forms of “branding” the Other (rhetoric of the dominant communities towards cultural minorities) which correspond to them. The analysis of the rhetoric of speech and image permits to reveal the good and the bad side of language-cultural stereotypes, including also attitudes and behaviours affected by ideology.
