I compensi degli amministratori: analisi della disclosure nei bilanci delle società italiane quotate

This paper analyses the disclosure on the directors’ remuneration, whose primary role in a company, makes their information of particular interest to different stakeholders. The authors’ aim is to investigate the official documents (for 2009) of the 50 most capitalized listed Italian companies, in order to verify the compulsory and/or voluntary disclosure provided about the remuneration paid to their directors. The findings will be summarized in a disclosure index whose correlation with some parameters (selected on the basis of specific research hypothesis) concerning board structure and company size will be assessed.

Revisiting the role of embedding in Systemic Functional Linguistics : Construing depth in “big texts”

This paper is concerned with exploring the role of embedded genres in expanding the meaning potential of long texts, focusing especially on complex tertiary assignments. A significant body of work has evolved in Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) on modelling “big texts” as macrogenres since Martin (1994: 29) posed the question how texts “get bigger than a page”. However, based on detailed genre analyses of high-scoring undergraduate business country reports, this paper illustrates that not all big texts are macrogenres made up of elemental genre complexes. Codes of corporate governance and comply or explain approach are always at the core of the European Union agenda. This paper will deal both with the evolution of codes of corporate governance across Europe, and with the 2014 Recommendation. The idea put forwards is that regulators, at both EU and national level, should mainly improve the environment where the comply or explain approach is applied and introduce a system of self-monitoring through online feedbacks only. Crystal structure of the tripeptideN-(benzyloxycarbonyl)glycylglycyl-L-norvaline

The title tripeptide, C17H23N3O6, contains a nonproteinogenic C-terminal amino acid residue, norvaline, which is an isomer of the amino acid valine. Norvaline, unlike valine, has an unbranched side chain. The molecule has a Gly–Gly segment which adopts an extended conformation. The norvaline residue also adopts an extended backbone conformation while its side chain has ag+tconformation. In the crystal lattice, N—H...O and O—H...O hydrogen bonds stabilize the packing. Molecules translated along the crystallographicaaxis associate through an N—H...O hydrogen bond. The remaining three hydrogen bonds are between molecules related by a21screw axis.

A partire dal 1561 nel complesso benedettino di San Martino delle Scale, presso Palermo, si avvia la costruzione di una nuova chiesa, portata a compimento e inaugurata soltanto nel 1602. Una variegata documentazione d’archivio restituisce i principali passaggi del tormentato iter esecutivo dell’opera, articolato in più tappe che vedono l’avvicendarsi di diversi sodalizi di maestri costruttori al vertice del cantiere. Csr communication strategies of Colombian business groups: an analysis of corporate reports

ABSTRACT: The aim of this paper is to assess stakeholder orientation and corporate social responsibility (CSR) communication strategies in the business groups (BGs) of an emerging economy by means of content analysis. We worked with 30 non-financial BGs taken from the Colombian Stock Exchange. The study uses as its unit of analysis corporate reports that have been classified into four categories: annual reports (ARs), sustainability reports (SRs), combined reports (CRs), and integrated reports (IRs).
