Il testo propone un articolato commento alle posizioni teoriche e alle linee di ricerca progettuale espresse da Michele Argentino, professore ordinario di Design a Palermo circa la necessità di riconquistare il ruolo sociale alla creatività individuale, riprendendosi il desiderio di diventare nuovamente "Homo Faber". Il testo inoltre presenta gli obiettivi della nuova collana scientifica - diretta dall'autrice - dal Titolo " Design e Contesti": intercettare ambiti di ricerca trasversali alle discipline del progetto, favorire gli intrecci tra idee progettuali e percorsi di innovazione socio-culturale, sviluppare nuove strategie produttive compatibili con i diversi aspetti della sostenibilità.

Abstract Although several investigations of spatial reasoning and mental rotation skills have been conducted in research areas linked to STEM education, to the best of our knowledge, few of these studies have examined the relationship between spatial reasoning and computational thinking. Given this gap in the literature, the present study investigates the role and action of spatial reasoning, and specifically the effects of mental rotation on computational thinking within an embodied and enacted perspective. Abstract Synthesis and purification of metal clusters without strong binding agents by wet chemical methods are very attractive for their potential applications in many research areas. However, especially challenging is the separation of uncharged clusters with only a few number of atoms, which renders the usual techniques very difficult to apply. Herein, we report the first efficient separation of Ag2 and Ag3 clusters using the different entropic driving forces when such clusters interact with DNA, into which Ag3 selectively intercalates. Orientēšanās ir gan individuālais, gan komandu sports. Kā viens no veselību veicinošiem izturības sporta veidiem tas bija un joprojām ir cieņā arī Latvijas Universitātē. Laikposmā no 1963. līdz 2008. gadam aktivitātes šajā jomā organizēja LU Orientēšanās sporta sekcija. Rakstā sniegts ieskats orientēšanās sporta vēsturē saistībā ar Latvijas Universitātes simtgadi un "Universitātes sporta" 90 gadu jubileju.

Airēšanas sporta pirmsākumi Latvijā meklējami 19. gadsimta vidū, kad Rīgā izveidojās vairāki baltvācu airētāju pulciņi jeb airēšanas draugu kopas. Nozīmīgākais no tiem Latvijas airēšanas vēsturē bija Rīgas Airētāju klubs (RAK) – ir ziņas, ka pulciņš ar šādu nosaukumu Rīgā darbojies jau 1852. gadā. Pirmās lielākās sacensības starp airēšanas draugu kopām Rīgā notikušas 1957. gadā, un to dalībnieki sacentušies četrās pārcēlāju laivās. Dažādi avīžraksti sniedz priekšstatu par to, kā tolaik izprata airēšanas sportu – tas bija plašs daudzpusīgu izpriecu klāsts.
