Jauna stereoredzes testa izstrāde krustotās un nekrustotās disparitātes novērtēšanai

Darbs uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 49 lappusēm. Tas satur 47 attēlus, 3 tabulas un atsauces uz 27 literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis bija izstrādāt jaunu datorizētu stereoredzes testu krustotās un nekrustotās disparitātes novērtēšanai. Lokālās un globālās stereoredzes sliekšņi tika novērtēti pielietojot psihofizikālo trepju metodi. Pētījuma dalībnieku uzdevums bija atpazīt telpiskus attēlus. Stimuliem tika izvēlēti dažādi ekspozīcijas laiki – 5 sekundes (ilgais laiks), 550 ms un 250 ms (īsie laiki). The aim of this study was to identify individuals who fake their response on personality assessments in the context of employee recruitment. In the study experiment, participants were randomly divided into two groups. The first group was instructed to complete a measure (BFI-44) honestly while the second group was instructed to complete the inventory as if they were job applicants participating in an employee recruitment. Through a close reading of the two definitions of evil in the Introduction to Responses to Thalassios , this article points out a circular, cognitive-affective-somatic, genetic mechanism that St. Maximos the Confessor considers responsible for the initiation and transmission of the fallness as a human condition and the specific manifestation of it in the form of passions. It elucidates the first definition as mainly phenomenological, by identifying the circular mechanism and its behavioural expressions, and the second definition as more aetiological, by explaining why this mechanism emerges and reemerges with the fallen humanity despite its catastrophic results. Risk recognition by prey is of paramount importance within the evolutionary arms race between predator and prey. Prey species are able to detect direct predator cues like odors and adjust their behavior appropriately. The question arises whether an indirect predation cue, such as the odor of scared individuals, can be detected by conspecifics and subsequently affects recipient behavior. Parents may also transfer their experience with predators to their offspring. The work of rescuers can be physically and psychologically very demanding so it is important for them to have sufficient recovery between work shifts. The purpose of this thesis was to study recovery of rescuers and to see if physical fitness is associated with recovery from work shifts. Heart rate variability (HRV) recordings reflect changes in the autonomic nervous system, and they were used for the analysis of stress and recovery. HRV was recorded for 96 hours, from the beginning of a 24-hour work shift to the beginning of the next shift. Production of an egg yolk antibody against Parietaria judaica 2 allergen

Specific antibodies are essential tools for studying proteins as well as for diagnostic research in biomedicine. The egg yolk of immunized chicken is an inexpensive source of high-quality polyclonal antibodies. The 12-kDa Parietaria judaica 2 allergen was expressed as a fusion protein and was used to immunize Leghorn chickens. In this paper, we show, using 2-dimensional gel electrophoresis and immunoblotting, that chicken antibodies raised against a recombinant allergen can be used to recognize similar proteins from a pollen raw extract. Antimicrobial and Antioxidant Activities of Coumarins from the Roots of Ferulago campestris (Apiaceae)

We report the isolation of several coumarins and the stereochemical assessment of some pyranocoumarins, as well as the antibacterial and antioxidant activities of the three most abundant ones (grandivittin, agasyllin and aegelinol benzoate) isolated from the roots of Ferulago campestris collected in Sicily and of the hydrolysis product (aegelinol). Aegelinol and agasyllin showed antibacterial activity against nine ATCC and the same clinically isolated Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial strains.
