Przedmiot artykułu stanowią rozważania dotyczące konsekwencji Brexitu dla funkcjonowania granicy pomiędzy Irlandią a Irlandią Północną. Autor wyjaśnia, czym jest ta granica w warunkach, kiedy Wielka Brytania nie jest już członkiem Unii Europejskiej, a więc przebieg tej granicy może stanowić barierę dla swobodnego przepływu osób, towarów, kapitału i usług. Artykuł jednocześnie podkreśla, że wyjście Wielkiej Brytanii z Unii Europejskiej będzie miało istotny wpływ na zmianę funkcji tej granicy, która od tej chwili nie będzie już wewnętrzną, lecz zewnętrzną granicą Unii. Shape coexistence in the neutron-deficient even-even Hg182-188 isotopes studied via Coulomb excitation

Coulomb-excitation experiments to study electromagnetic properties of radioactive even-even Hg isotopes were performed with 2.85  MeV/nucleon mercury beams from REX-ISOLDE. Magnitudes and relative signs of the reduced E2 matrix elements that couple the ground state and low-lying excited states in Hg182-188 were extracted. Information on the deformation of the ground and the first excited 0+ states was deduced using the quadrupole sum rules approach. Results show that the ground state is slightly deformed and of oblate nature, while a larger deformation for the excited 0+ state was noted in Hg182,184. Tiivistelmä – Abstract Tämä opinnäytetyö soveltaa semioottista lähestymistapaa Kiinassa Durex-kondomituotteelle tarkoitetun ”Perfect Fit” mainoksen seksuaalisen sisällön analysoinnissa. Valittu teoria pohjautuu pohjimmiltaan kaksiosaiseen merkityksen rakentumiseen Barthesin Mythologioiden mukaan, joka puolestaan rakentuu Saussuren kehittämälle lingvistiselle ja strukturaaliselle merkkijärjestelmälle. Multimodaliteetti analyysi valittiin metodiksi sillä video yhdistää runsaan valikoiman erilaisia elementtejä ja eroavaisuuksia. Viens no būtiskākajiem notikumiem politikas sfērā ir Eiropas Savienības referendums, kurā Lielbritānijas pilsoņi nobalsoja par Lielbritānijas izstāšanos no Eiropas Savienības. Seasonal Modulation of the $^7$Be Solar Neutrino Rate in Borexino

We detected the seasonal modulation of the $^7$Be neutrino interaction rate with the Borexino detector at the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso in Italy. The period, amplitude, and phase of the observed time evolution of the signal are consistent with its solar origin, and the absence of an annual modulation is rejected at 99.99\% C.L. The data are analyzed using three methods: the sinusoidal fit, the Lomb-Scargle and the Empirical Mode Decomposition techniques, which all yield results in excellent agreement.

To determine how much variation in the pathogens observed among fragmented populations is caused by ecological factors, one needs to examine systems where host genetic diversity is consistent among the populations, thus controlling for any potentially confounding genetic effects.
