Representació gràfica i ècfrasi en l’obra de Ramon Llull

El present treball estudia la relació que s’estableix entre text i representacions gràfiques en les obres de Ramon Llull, fent una atenció especial al recurs retòric anomenat ècfrasi, això és, la descripció verbal d’un objecte visual. S’analitzen casos de descripció de figures lul·lianes, sobretot esquemes arboris, en presència de la seva representació (ècfrasi referencial) o en absència de la mateixa (ècfrasi nocional). Retoriskie jautājumi bija seno grieķu un romiešu intereses punkti. Tā kā retoriskajiem jautājumiem ir dažādas funkcijas, to izmantošana ir aktuāla arī mūsdienās. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir novērot retorisko jautājumu lietojumu astoņos dažādos ēdienu gatavošanas emuāros. Šajā pētījumā tika izmantotas divas pētījuma metodes – literatūras apskats un diskursa analīze. Tas ir gadījuma pētījums, jo attiecas uz atlasītu krājumu. Pētījuma rezultāti pierāda, ka nozīme ir cieši saistīta ar nodomu un kontekstu. Parliamentary sources in the comparative study of conceptual history: methodological aspects and illustrations of a research proposal

SUMMARY This article proposes that historians and political theorists should exploit parliamentary sources to move from the writing of national histories to the comparative study of the conceptual history of European political cultures. Complementing the German lexicographical approach to conceptual history, the authors argue that parliamentary debates in several European countries provide more reliable sources for the past use of the language of politics. Abstract The article deals with the public/private distinction as a hidden spatialization that regulates the social. It looks at restructurations of the distinction; at changes and their political consequences in terms of ongoing rhetorical boundary work. The naming or coding of something as public or private is in itself a cultured process. The distinction is used in various meanings and within multiple discursive repertoires. La street art è un fenomeno capillare che si dispiega negli spazi urbani con stili e forme diverse. L’intervento prende in esame alcune operazioni artistiche analizzando le strategie retoriche utilizzate. Ricorrendo a diversi regimi di visibilità e utilizzando l’apostrofe, l’iperbole o ancora il camouflage gli artisti creano narrazioni imprevedibili e sollecitano continuamente l’attenzione del fruitore. Gli interventi di street art possono così considerarsi come campi di manovra che instaurano nello spazio urbano conflitti, sfide o complicità con i fruitori e in tal senso si rivela opportuno soffermarsi sui casi di riscrittura o di cancellazione delle opere.
Rethinking Political Representation from the Perspective of Rhetorical Genres

This article is a thought experiment. It constructs ideal types of political representation in the sense of Max Weber. Inspired by Quentin Skinner and others, the aim is to give a rhetorical turn to contemporary debates on representation. The core idea is to claim an ‘elective affinity’ (Wahlverwandschaft, as Weber says following Goethe) between forms of representation and rhetorical genres of their justification. The four ideal types of political representation are designated as plebiscitary, diplomatic, advocatory, and parliamentary, corresponding to the epideictic, negotiating, forensic, and deliberative genres of rhetoric as the respective ways to plausibly appeal to the audience.
