Sexual Exploitation from Origin Countries to Destination Countries
2020
Human trafficking tends to follow a pattern of phases, such as recruitment, transfer, exploitation, protection, and sometimes re-trafficking. This chapter gives the opportunity for the reader to understand the influence of several factors within human trafficking at a geographical level, from the origin and transit country to the destination country, as well as at a cultural, social, and criminological level. All factors are considered according to victim nationality, in this case Romanian and Nigerian, including the vulnerable factors created by the criminal groups. In this chapter, the difference of citizenship between Nigerian women, who are third-country nationals, and Romanian women, w…
Gendered Violence Online : Hate Speech as an Intersection of Misogyny and Racism
2020
Social media has been adopted by radical right populists and alt-right demagogues as a platform for circulating misogynous and racist hate speech and affectively mobilising supporters. This chapter examines hate speech as a form of gendered and racist violence, focusing on social media posts by two influential right-wing populist politicians: Jussi Halla-aho, the leader of the Finns Party, and Donald Trump, the president of the United States. It demonstrates how these politicians intertwine misogyny and racism in blog posts and tweets that target women in particular. Their affective online communication is interpreted as a new form of violence. This digitally mediated violence, although a r…
Creating Learning Environments Free of Violence in Special Education through the Dialogic Model of Prevention and Resolution of Conflicts
2021
Violence suffered by children is a violation of human rights and a global health problem. Children with disabilities are especially vulnerable to violence in the school environment, which has a negative impact on their well-being and health. Students with disabilities educated in special schools have, in addition, more reduced experiences of interaction that may reduce both their opportunities for learning and for building protective social networks of support. This study analyses the transference of evidence-based actions to prevent violence in schools –the Dialogic Model of Prevention and Resolution of Conflicts (DMPRC)– in the context of a special school, and its impact on the reduction …
Mediacion, Ciudadania y convivencia entre culturas

In-hospital transfers,Univariate differences were found at admission in NT-ProBNP, creatinine, history of cardiac surgery, smoking and alcoholism, left and right ventricular ejection fraction, systolic blood pressure and heart rate. Type 1A endoleak detachable coil embolization after endovascular aneurysm sealing: Case report

Herein we report a case of successful type 1A endoleak managed with detachable coils embolization after EVAS. Presentation of case A 77-year-old male was referred for abdominal pain. The angio-CT scan confirmed the previous EVAS procedure and showed a type Is2 endoleak below the right renal artery resulting in a 2.5 cm aortic blister with contrast medium filling the space between the aortic wall and the endobags. The patient was considered unfit for conventional open surgery and an endovascular approach with …
A late diagnosis of aortic coarctation began as an acute coronary syndrome
2014
Abstract Aortic coarctation accounts the 5%–10% of congenital heart disease. It is usually diagnosed during childhood but the postductal form is most common in adults and may be diagnosed incidentally in the context of investigation for hypertension. The age of correction is the most important factor for the relief of hypertension and long-term survival. We describe a case of a 63-year-old man, came to our emergency room for acute coronary syndrome. Cardiac catheterization with right femoral artery access was performed but for many difficulties during the introduction of catheters was therefore performed aortography that showed an interruption "a cul de sac" at the level of the descending t…
