Monitoring Volcanic Eruptions Using Trace Metals In Tree-Rings: Preliminary Results From Mt. Etna

Active volcanoes can influence surrounding vegetation both through passive degassing during quiescent periods and through eruptive degassing, by introducing into the atmosphere several metals as gases and particles. The chemical composition of tree-rings has been generally used to investigate the effects of anthropogenic gas emissions and dendrochemical methods have successfully recorded variations in the pollution levels. The use of tree-rings analysis in active volcanic areas has shown that vascular plants could be used as archives of volcanogenic metals deposition. Darba gaitā pētīta un modelēta trokšņu izplatība Baltijas jūrā ūdens vidē, kas radusies kuģu satiksmes ceļu noslodzes dēļ. Pētījuma laikā veikti mērījumi ar hidrofoniem Baltijas jūrā, kā rezultātā iegūts faktiskais trokšņu piesārņojums kuģu satiksmes dēļ, kā arī modelēti scenāriji pie dažādiem mainīgajiem faktoriem, kā kuģa masas, ūdens blīvuma. Darba mērķis - iegūt pēc iespējas tuvākus modelēšanas rezultātus attiecībā pret faktiski nomērītajiem monitoringa rezultātiem, kā arī identificēt kuģu radīto trokšņu piesārņojuma līmeni. In 2002, excavations carried out by Marie-Cécile Truc (Inrap) at Saint-Dizier led to the discovery of four graves of exceptional wealth, containing a young woman, two men and a horse, dated to c. 525-550 AD. Dressed and adorned with numerous jewels, the young female was laid in a coffin upon which were placed vessels in glass, copper alloy goblet and ceramic. Each male had been buried in an excavated funerary chamber, built within an oak frame. They were laid in their coffins along with their personal clothing, including a ceremonial sword with two rings added to the pommel. Beyond “liberals” and “conservatives”: Complexity in ideology, moral intuitions, and worldview among Swedish voters

This research investigated the congruence between the ideologies of political parties and the ideological preferences (N = 1515), moral intuitions (N = 1048), and political values and worldviews (N = 1345) of diverse samples of Swedish adults who voted or intended to vote for the parties. Logistic regression analyses yielded support for a series of hypotheses about variations in ideology beyond the left-right division. Ārpusklašu vizuālās mākslas nodarbības ir svarīgas radošas un vispusīgi attīstītas personības attīstībā, tās ne tikai attīsta dažādas iemaņas, bet palīdz apgūt arī sociālās prasmes.
