Driving through floodwater is a significant cause of flood-related injury and mortality, and opportunities exist to embed safe driving messages regarding floodwaters to novice drivers in graduated driver licensing schemes. To inform future educational efforts, we investigated the beliefs and attitudes of Australian learner drivers about driving and avoiding driving through floodwaters. Background Strong associations have been demonstrated between the American Heart Association’s cardiovascular health (CVH) metrics and various cardiovascular outcomes, but the association with sudden cardiac death (SCD) is uncertain. We examined the associations between these CVH metrics and the risks of SCD and all-cause mortality among men in Finland. Lääkinnällisissä laitteissa olevien ohjelmistojen määrä on kasvanut viime vuosina paljon ja potilasvahinkojen myötä viranomaiset ovat asettaneet vaatimuksia lääkinnällisen laitteen ohjelmistokehitykselle. Tutkimuksessa tunnistetaan Euroopan unionin lääkinnällisten laitteiden direktiivin asettamat vaatimukset ohjelmistokehitykselle. Adults with a low physical activity (PA) level are at increased risk for cardiometabolic diseases, but little is known on the association between physical inactivity since youth and cardiometabolic health in adulthood. We investigated the association of persistent physical inactivity from youth to adulthood with adult cardiometabolic risk factors. Kemikaalien yhteisvaikutuksien riskinarviointi ja tarkkailu on mahdotonta pelkkien fysikaalis-kemiallisten testien voimin. Täten onkin kehitelty biologisia menetelmiä, joiden avulla näiden monimuotoisten seosten haitallisuutta voidaan tarkkailla.
