On the occasion of the centenary of the mosaic’s discovery of the Twelve Labours of Hercules in Liria (Valencia), this article aims to approach to some aspects overlooked in previous works. Within the study of Roman domestic spaces, the room’s decoration is an essential factor in order to understand its function. Over the years, several studies have focused their efforts on a descriptive analysis of the mosaic, mentioning only the social interpretation, whereas the current trends try to analyze other aspects such as the study of elites and their symbolism. En el presente artículo estudiamos algunas inscripciones votivas halladas junto a las ruinas del templo romano del Collado de las Piedras Labradas (Jarilla, Cáceres). Hasta el momento, no se conocía el nombre de la deidad venerada en este recinto sagrado pero, a partir del estudio de dos de las inscripciones que de allí proceden, hemos podido concluir que el dios adorado en este templo era Caesarus, una deidad indígena lusitana. A partir de esta identificación hemos investigado el significado del teónimo y de su único posible paralelo: Caesariciaecus, testimoniado en el pueblo de Martiago (Salamanca). Se presenta un estudio tipológico, ceramológico y cuantitativo del conjunto anfórico procedente de la intervención realizada en la calle Beatas-esquina Ramón Franquelo en 1997. El yacimiento posee evidencias de ocupación durante el Alto y Bajo Imperio, pero sin duda, destaca la fase tardopúnica o romano-republicana, en la que junto a la presencia de un espacio funerario, se registraron depósitos con una gran cantidad de material anfórico, que hemos datado en torno al segundo cuarto del s. I a.C. The contribution deals with some hermeneutical positions of classical Jurists concerning the beneficia imperialia from the point of view of their deviating from the ‘ratio iuris’. The Author – by recalling the metodological warning of Alberto Burdese about paying vigilant and cautious attention for the textual data – examines some sources which regard the relationship between beneficia and regulae iuris and between beneficia, aequitas, utilitas and the attribution of the interpretation of beneficia directly to the Emperor.
