Sanarytmien vaikutus kuultujen rytmien oppimiseen

Tutkielmani kohdistuu sanarytmien käyttöön rytmiikan oppimisessa. Kirjallisuuskatsauksessa käsitellään rytmiikan oppimista laajemminkin, koska sanarytmit ovat osa monimuotoista musiikillisen oppimisen kokonaisuutta. Musiikillinen ilmaisu on kehon ja mielen yhteistyötä: kehon avulla toteutetaan mielessä muodostuvia musiikillisia mielikuvia. Sanarytmit ovat oiva väline rytmisten mielikuvien kehittämiseen, ja hyvä koordinaatiokyky on edellytys onnistuneelle soittosuoritukselle. Tutkimukseni empiirinen aineisto liittyy sanarytmeihin. Although functional connectivity studies have advanced our understanding of rhythm perception, this phenomenon has not been sufficiently studied as a function of musical training and beyond the General Linear Model (GLM) approach. Rytmiikan oppimisen lähtökohdat

Tämä tutkielma käsittelee rytmiikan oppimisen lähtökohtia. Rytmiikan oppimista tarkastellaan psykofyysisen kehityksen, valikoitujen keskeisen oppimisteorioiden sekä motorisen kehityksen näkökulmasta. Lisäksi tutkielmassa ovat opetuskäytäntöinä edustettuina kehollinen lähestyminen sekä sanarytmiikan ja rytmitavujen käyttö rytmiikan opetuksessa. Didaktiset käytännöt ovat instrumenttiopetuksessa usein hiljaista tietoa ja opetuskäytännöt ovat riippuvaisia opettajan taitotasosta sekä kiinnostuksen kohteista. On the rhythm of head movements in Finnish and Swedish Sign Language sentences

This paper investigates, with the help of computer-vision technology, the similarities and differences in the rhythm of the movements of the head in sentences in Finnish (FinSL) and Swedish Sign Language (SSL). The results show that the movement of the head in the two languages is often very similar: in both languages, the instances when the movement of the head changes direction were distributed similarly with regard to clause-boundaries, and the contours of the roll (tilting-like) motion of the head during the sentences were similar. The self-reported causes of sleepiness in shift-working tram and truck drivers

Identifying the causes of sleepiness in various safety-critical work environments is neces-sary for implementing more efficient fatigue management strategies. In transportation, little is known about drivers' own perceptions of these causes. Therefore, we instructed shift-working tram (n = 23) and long-haul truck drivers (n = 52) to report at the end of their shifts what made them sleepy if they felt so. These self-reports, measured on-duty sleepiness, and sleep amounts were recorded on every shift over a period of 2-3 weeks per driver. Daily rhythms of young children in the 24/7 economy : A comparison of children in day care and day and night care

The study explored temporal variation in children’s moods and compared children in regular day care with those in day and night care in Finland. To examine variation in children’s experiences, a mobile diary was used. The participants comprised 32 young children and their parents and day care personnel. Adults evaluated children’s moods three times daily over 1 week. A clear weekday–weekend rhythm was found among children in day care, who displayed more negative moods, due to frequent hurried mornings. Children in day and night care had more irregular mood rhythms. Boys were evaluated as displaying more negative moods than girls. peerReviewed
