Introducción: El abordaje de las epidemias/pandemias debe llevarse a cabo desde una enseñanza transversal que involucre un pensamiento completo. Objetivo: Evaluar diferentes herramientas pedagógicas para el aprendizaje significativo activo en el aula. Métodos: Estudio de caso (n = 10), sin grupo de control, en el contexto de un seminario internacional. Preventing, diagnosing, and controlling high blood pressure is a global health priority. The self-measurement of blood pressure is therefore fundamental and should be done with devices validated by recognized protocols, although most are not. The most widely used and current protocols are the 2010 European Society of Hypertension (ESH) revision and the 2018 Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI)/ ESH/ the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) universal standard, respectively. The figure of king Jaume I the Conqueror is well-known, but few times his fundamental role when dealing with the first sanitary policies has been raised. Medicine, at the height of the 13th century, was experiencing a principal transformation that would mark its evolution during all the late Middle Ages. Taking its cue from a case tried at the court of the «Justícia Criminal» of the city of Valencia at the end of the fifteenth century, the article studies the influential rôle that the professionals of medicine played in the de-cisions arrived at in late medieval courts of justice. When we talk about immigrants, often the question we ask is linked the use of the categories of “health” and “sickness”, ie if these categories, that have a meaning almost shared among Westerners, can be considered valid fon any other company. In this place we will present some reflections on the difficult connected to access to services and the welfare state of migrants present for several years in the regional territory, but which are in a state of irregularity with the permits of stay on Italian soil.
