Production of neutron rich isotopes in fission. A study for RNB facilities
2002
Abstract The theoretical model for calculations of the fission product yields in the light-particle induced fission is discussed. A comparison of the production cross sections in fission of 238 U by protons, thermal and fast neutrons, and photons is presented. The results of studies of the very asymmetric fission of 238 U by protons and neutron at the moderate energy are reported.
Measurement of fission fragments energy loss
2002
Abstract The mean energy of 252 Cf fission fragments emerging from an absorber and the determination of the capture rate in the absorber itself have been measured using two independent and complementary nuclear techniques. The results can be applied to the measurement of the energy self-absorption in a non-zero thickness source and can be used to validate simulation programs.
Production of neutron-rich isotopes in fission of uranium induced by neutrons of 20 MeV average energy
2000
In the context of a parameter study conducted by several laboratories for future European radioactive beam facilities based on fast-neutron induced fission, in particular for the SPIRAL-II project at GANIL, we have measured the yields of neutron-rich isotopes in the mass range of 88 to 144. These nuclei were obtained as fission products of natural uranium bombarded by neutrons of 20 MeV average energy emitted by a thick carbon target irradiated by 50 MeV deuterons. Yields have been measured using on-line mass separation with the ion-guide method. Compared with proton-induced fission at 25 MeV the magnitude of cross-sections, except for the symmetric region, is similar. Z-distributions of is…
Neutron and fragment yields in proton-induced fission of 238U at intermediate energies
2001
The primary fission fragment mass and kinetic energy distributions, and neutron multiplicities as function of fragment mass have been measured in the proton-induced fission of 238 U at energies Ep ¼ 20, 35, 50 and 60 MeV using time-of-flight technique. Pre-scission and post-scission neutron multiplicities have been extracted from double differential distributions. The fragment mass dependence of the post-scission neutron multiplicities reveals the gross nuclear shell structure effect even at the higher proton energies we measured. The yields ofneutron-rich fission products in the fission of 238 U by 25 MeV protons were measured using an ion guide-based isotope separator technique. The resul…
Half-lives, neutron emission probabilities and fission yields of neutron-rich rubidium isotopes in the mass regionA=96 toA=100
1979
Neutron-rich rubidium isotopes were produced by thermal-neutron induced fission of235U and were isolated by surface ionization and mass separation. The new isotope (51 ±17) ms100Rb was identified. The half-lives of the rubidium isotopes with mass numberA=96 toA=100 were measured using neutron multiscaling or gamma multispectrum analysis. Measurements of the delayed-neutron emission probabilityP n of99Rb and of the fission yields of97Rb,98Rb, and99Rb were performed.
Manifestations of Clustering in Fission of Excited Actinides
2003
A new, graphical way of extracting important physical information from the total kinetic-energy—mass (TKE—M) distributions of the nuclear reaction products is presented. The resulting images indicate for the first time the presence of the Ni—Mo and Ge—Mo fission modes in the fission of Np nuclei at intermediate excitation energies.
EPM calculations of E2/M1 mixing ratios for even samarium isotopes 146–152Sm
1987
Abstract The M1 operator and the E2/M1 mixing ratios, Δ (E2/M1), are discussed in the framework of the extended phonon projection model (EPM). The model is applied to 146, 148, 150, 152 Sm to describe their M1 properties. Comparison is made between the EPM, the consistent- Q formalism (CQF) of the basic interacting-boson approximation (IBA-1) and the experimental Δ(E2/M1) data. Both theoretical approaches give reasonably good results and parameter systematics.
Spectroscopy of Low-lying States in $^{140}$Sm
2014
International audience; Electromagnetic transition strengths and spectroscopic quadrupole moments for Sm-140 were measured by means of multi-step Coulomb excitation with radioactive beam at the ISOLDE facility at CERN. A complementary experiment was performed at the Heavy Ion Laboratory in Warsaw to assign spins for non-yrast states using the angular correlation technique. Based on the new experimental data previous spin assignments need to be revised.
Profesionālās un emocionālās izdegšanas samazināšanas riska cēloņu analīze un to samazināšanas iespējas skolotāju profesionālajā darbībā
2021
Pedagogu profesionālās izdegšanas izpētes aktuāli mūsdienu skolās var pamatot ar pēdējos gados noteiktās izglītības politikas plānošanas uzdevumu īstenošanu, virzot mūsdienīgu skolu tīkla attīstības plānu, kas ir orientēts uz augstu izglītības kvalitāti ikvienam skolēnam, gan unikālām, pirmo reizi Latvijas vēsturē visus vispārējās izglītības posmus aptverošām izglītības satura pārmaiņām. Straujās pārmaiņas un augstās prasības pedagogiem rada profesionālo izdegšanu veicinošus apstākļus, tāpēc aktuāli ir arī apzināt profesionālās izdegšanas mazināšanas iespējas, tāpēc darba autore Ivita Miķelsone izvēlējās maģistra darba tēmu “Profesionālās un emocionālās izdegšanas samazināšanas riska cēloņu…
