Opuntia ficus indica (prickly pear) polyphenolic compounds (OFPC) triggered an increase in [Ca2+]i in human Jurkat T-cell lines. Furthermore, OFPC-induced rise in [Ca2+]i was significantly curtailed in calcium-free buffer (0% Ca2+) as compared to that in 100% Ca2+ medium. Preincubation of cells with tyrphostin A9, an inhibitor of Ca2+ release-activated Ca2+ (CRAC) channels, significantly diminished the OFPC-induced sustained response on the increases in [Ca2+]i. Lanthanum and nifedipine, the respective inhibitors of voltage-dependent and L-type calcium channels, failed to curtail significantly the OFPC-induced calcium response. l contributo analizza l’impatto che il recente inserimento dell’ambiente in Costituzione può dispiegare in ambito penale, tanto rispetto all’ambiente quale oggetto della tutela penale, quanto sul versante della selezione dei modelli di illecito, soffermandosi in particolare sul problema delle possibili ricadute penalistiche del nuovo vincolo di solidarietà ecologica di tipo intergenerazionale. Seguendo il fil rouge del bene giuridico, la seconda parte del saggio ricostruisce invece i punti critici e le prospettive di sviluppo del diritto penale ambientale internazionale, alla luce della nozione di ambiente quale bene giuridico comune ed universale.
Movie Script Similarity Using Multilayer Network Portrait Divergence

International audience; This paper addresses the question of movie similarity through multilayer graph similarity measures. Recent work has shown how to construct multilayer networks using movie scripts, and how they capture different aspects of the stories. Based on this modeling, we propose to rely on the multilayer structure and compute different similarities, so we may compare movies, not from their visual content, summary, or actors, but actually from their own storyboard. We propose to do so using “portrait divergence”, which has been recently introduced to compute graph distances from summarizing graph characteristics. We illustrate our approach on the series of six Star Wars movies.
Psi4: an open-source ab initio electronic structure program

The Psi4 program is a new approach to modern quantum chemistry, encompassing Hartree–Fock and density-functional theory to configuration interaction and coupled cluster. The program is written entirely in C++ and relies on a new infrastructure that has been designed to permit high-efficiency computations of both standard and emerging electronic structure methods on conventional and high-performance parallel computer architectures. Psi4 offers flexible user input built on the Python scripting language that enables both new and experienced users to make full use of the program's capabilities, and even to implement new functionality with moderate effort. Incorporating hypothetical knowledge into the process of inductive synthesis

The problem of inductive inference of functions from hypothetical knowledge is investigated in this paper. This type of inductive inference could be regarded as a generalization of synthesis from examples that can be directed not only by input/output examples but also by knowledge of, e. g., functional description's syntactic structure or assumptions about the process of function evaluation. We show that synthesis of this kind is possible by efficiently enumerating the hypothesis space and illustrate it with several examples.
