Contemporary models of eye movement control in reading assume a discrete target word selection process preceding saccade length computation, while the selection itself is assumed to be driven by word identification processes. Nurse‐led counseling and systematic follow‐up has been shown to reduce cardiovascular risk factor levels. The study aim was to investigate if cardiovascular risk factor levels could be reduced in patients with coronary artery disease with a nurse‐led intervention and to report patients’ evaluations of nurse‐led counseling. The study design was a real‐life longitudinal follow‐up counseling intervention. Data were collected from November 2017 to May 2020. Driver distraction is a recognized cause of traffic accidents. Although the well-known guidelines for measuring distraction of secondary in-car tasks were published by the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in 2013, studies have raised concerns on the accuracy of the method defined in the guidelines, namely criticizing them for basing the diversity of the driver sample on driver age, and for inconsistent between-group results. Kouluikäisten lasten ja nuorten urheiluharrastuksen lopettamiseen yhteydessä olevia tekijöitä

Pro gradu –tutkielmani tarkoituksena oli selvittää syitä lasten ja nuorten urheiluseuraharrastuksen lopettamiseen. Tarkastelun kohteena oli erityisesti se, missä ikävaiheessa urheiluharrastuksen lopettaminen oli suurinta ja oliko sukupuolella tai urheilulajilla yhteyttä urheiluharrastuksen lopettamiseen. Tutkimus oli kvantitatiivinen ja sen aineistona oli Valtion liikuntaneuvoston teettämän ja Jyväskylän Yliopiston toteuttaman LIITU-tutkimuksen aineisto vuodelta 2016. Tutkimuksen kohdejoukko koostui 3., 5., 7. ja 9. -luokan oppilaista (N=7565). Työssäni keskityin tarkastelemaan urheiluseuraharratuksen lopettaneita (N=1531) lapsia ja nuoria.
