Classical and Quantum Annealing in the Median of Three Satisfiability

We determine the classical and quantum complexities of a specific ensemble of three-satisfiability problems with a unique satisfying assignment for up to N = 100 and 80 variables, respectively. In the classical limit, we employ generalized ensemble techniques and measure the time that a Markovian Monte Carlo process spends in searching classical ground states. In the quantum limit, we determine the maximum finite correlation length along a quantum adiabatic trajectory determined by the linear sweep of the adiabatic control parameter in the Hamiltonian composed of the problem Hamiltonian and the constant transverse field Hamiltonian. Angst har vært et viktig tema i nyere filosofi. Etter en kort introduksjon til fenomenologisk metode, gis det i denne artikkelen en presentasjon av Søren Kierkegaards, Martin Heideggers og Jean-Paul Sartres bidrag til angstens filosofi. Her relateres angstfølelsen til erfaring av intethet og til den grunnleggende eksistensielle friheten. Med utgangspunkt i denne filosofiske teorien gis en drøfting av hvordan angsten kan oppfattes som et uttrykk for en indre spenning. Til slutt vises det hvordan den filosofiske angstteorien kan relateres til konkrete angstformer og angstlidelser.

Several decidable fragments of first-order logic have been identified in the past as a generalisation of the standard translation of modal logic. A series of 4-ethynylaniline gold(I) complexes containing monophosphane (1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane (pta; 2), 3,7-diacetyl-1,3,7-triaza-5-phosphabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane (3), and PR3 , with R=naphthyl (4), phenyl (5), and ethyl (6)) and diphosphane (bis(diphenylphosphino)acetylene (dppa; 7), trans-1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethene (dppet; 8), 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe; 9), and 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane (dppp; 10)) ligands have been synthesized and their efficiency against tumor cells evaluated. This article examines recognition relations between students and teachers in Finnish music schools. The research is based on written texts by music school students. The texts are analysed for difficulties in recognition relations, namely, hindrances to recognition in music schools. In the texts, some of the respondents describe situations that can be analysed as hindrances to recognition. The author analyses four different types of recognition-related problems in the data, the main issue being a tension between caring for people (respecting them) and promoting musical values (emphasising esteem). Prosjektleder Erik Höglund Prosjektet undersøkte hvilken betydning det å få sjøørret har for fritidsfiskere i form av fiskeglede og videre hva som er viktig for en god fiskeopplevelse. Bakgrunnen for dette er å få i stand et europeisk samarbeid og en søknad omkring sosio-økologiske problemstillinger i kystsonen, med fokus på fritidsfiske og turisme. I samarbeid med Aust-Agder Jeger- og Fiskeforening ble det utviklet mobil- og internettapplikasjoner som rapporteringsverktøy. The tricoordinated cationic Cu-I complex [Cu(kappa(2)-P,P'-DPEphos)(kappa(1)-P-DPEphos)][BF4] (1) (DPEphos = bis(2-(diphenylphosphino)phenyl) ether) containing a dangling phosphorus center was synthesized from the reaction of [Cu(CH3CN)(4)][BF4] with DPEphos in a 1:2 molar ratio in dichloromethane. When complex 1 is treated with MnO2, elemental sulfur, or selenium, the uncoordinated phosphorus atom undergoes oxidation to form a PE bond resulting in the formation of complexes of the type [Cu(kappa(2)-P,P'-DPEphos)(kappa(2)-P,E-DPEphos-E)][BF4] (2, E = O; 3, E = S; 4, E = Se) containing a Cu-E bond.
