Diplomdarbā “Interjera izveides nosacījumi mūsdienu publiskajā bibliotēkā”, analizējot pieejamo literatūru, tiek apskatīta publisko bibliotēku vēsturiskā attīstība un to interjeru veidojošie telpas dizaina aspekti un faktori, kā arī mūsdienu publiskās bibliotēkas sociālā loma un nozīme sabiedrības dzīvē. Empīriskajā daļā tiek veikts salīdzinošais pētījums, analizējot publisko bibliotēku interjerus, to atbilstība lietotāju dažādības vajadzībām. Like Parents, like Teenagers: A Romanian Youth Smoking Overview

AbstractThis paper estimates how family model influences youth's smoking behaviors and describes smoking behavior in Romania nowadays. A questionnaire-based survey was used and data was collected from a national sample (1,364 people: 536 male and 828 female; average age 22,71 years and SD=3,128). The paper analyses only the items relevant for smoking behavior.Using a quasi-experimental design, we found a significant difference determinated by father's model (ρ(1364)= 0,158, p < 0,05), mother's model (ρ(1362)=0,155, p < 0,05), and brothers/sisters’ model (ρ(1362)=0,219, p < 0,05), regarding smoking behavior.Keywords: smoking behaviour, Romanian teenagers, parental model, Health Psychology

Proclivity of sexual harassment and blame attribution in journalism: experiential narratives of ghanaian female journalists

Though the proclivity of sexual-related harassments in African journalism is high, the rates of reporting of these incidences and empirical studies are low. Using a gendered approach, the study presents and exploratory inquiry into the lived experiences and impressions of Ghanaian female journalists about incidences of sexual harassments. The study examines how female journalists experience both newsroom harassments and on-assignment sexual harassments including the role they play in quid pro quo exchanges, which are relevant aspects of sexual harassments in the profession. This work is grounded on a constructivistic conception of the learning of Sciences, more particularly on the model known as teaching-learning as oriented research.
