This paper reports on the process and findings of an extensive research project with the aim of investigating present initiatives and approaches within the area of community resilience and citizen involvement. The paper specifically addresses which emerging sociotechnical approaches can be discerned within these initiatives. The discussion is structured within three categories of potential voluntary engagement; organized volunteers, semiorganized individuals, and “nonorganized” individuals. The concept / institution of the Commissioner for Children ' 'Pare d'Òrfens' appears for the first time in Valencia with Law 12/2008 on Protection of Children and Adolescents. The purpose of this article is to inform readers of the existence of this concept / institution, analysing the regulatory development that has taken place and comparing its performance with other similar concepts/institutions existing in other Spanish regions, in order to critically assess the work done in recent years. To close the paper, we give a number of conclusions drawn after completing the research on this concept / institution, including several general recommendations in the form of constructive criticism.

Šajā darbā ir aprakstīta kapitālisma vēsturiskā analīze ar mērķi izprast kā mainījās cilvēku vērtības, pielāgojoties dzīvei kapitālistiskos apstākļos. Tika analizēta kapitālisma kritika, un tās raksturīgās individuālās un sabiedrības vērtības. Mechanisms of irreversible aquaporin-10 inhibition by organogold compounds studied by combined biophysical methods and atomistic simulations

Abstract The inhibition of glycerol permeation via human aquaporin-10 (hAQP10) by organometallic gold complexes has been studied by stopped-flow fluorescence spectroscopy, and its mechanism has been described using molecular modelling and atomistic simulations. The most effective hAQP10 inhibitors are cyclometalated Au(III) C^N compounds known to efficiently react with cysteine residues leading to the formation of irreversible C–S bonds. Functional assays also demonstrate the irreversibility of the binding to hAQP10 by the organometallic complexes.
