The aim of this thesis is to study the processes of emergence, structuring and mutation of an ancient urban network from the end of the Protohistory to the beginning of the Middle Ages in a micro-region located on the edge of the ancient éduens, lingons and séquanes territories, the Saône Valley. This area is characterized by a density of Gallo-Roman small towns with an amount and a high quality of data unequalled in Gaul, as a result of ancient and recent research. Abstract. In 1851, the region of Sicily experienced many rainstorm-induced landslides. On 13 March 1851, a rainstorm brought about a severe rockfall disaster near the small town of Sclafani (Madonie Mountains, northern-central Sicily, Italy). Rocks detached from the carbonate crest of Mt. Sclafani (813 m above sea level) fell downslope, causing the collapse of the ancient hydrothermal spa (about 430 m above sea level) and burying it under their fragments. Fortunately, the event did not cause injuries or victims. Given its geological, geomorphological and structural features, the calcareous-dolomitic and carbonate-siliciclastic relief of Mt. This research deals with the evolution of two of the main ciuitates of the Lugdunensis prima province. It explores their territorial organisation, social and economic structures between the emergence of the Gallic Empire (260 AD) and the end of the kingdom of the Burgundians (530 AD).After tackling the methodological, archeological and historical issues raised by the study of the two ciuitates, it focuses on the city of Autun, on its small neighbouring towns (including Chalon), rural areas and religious practices. Pilsētu sarukšana un stratēģiskie risinājumi ir plaši izpētīti lielajās pilsētās, bet ir ļoti maz pētījumu, kā šis process izpaužas un ietekmē mazās pilsētas (ar iedzīvotāju skaitu līdz 25 000), kurām pieder arī Kuldīga. Kopš 1999.gada iedzīvotāju skaits Kuldīgā ir samazinājies par 18,6% jeb 2449 iedzīvotājiem. Līdz ar to par darba mērķi tika izvirzīts izstrādāt priekšlikumus Kuldīgas pilsētai, balstoties uz līdzšinējiem sociālekonomiskajiem procesiem un labās prakses piemēriem Eiropā un citviet pasaulē.
