Mobilie līdzekļi skolēnu vārdu krājuma paplašināšanai pamatskolas angļu valodas stundās

Viedtālruņu pastāvīgā klātbūtne pamatskolas skolēnu dzīvē un mobilo mācību līdzekļu strauja attīstība ir pamats idejai par to apvienošanu, lai iepazīstinātu skolēnus ar jauniem motivējošiem vārdu krājuma apguves veidiem. Atsevišķa gadījuma pētījums tika veikts Teteles pamatskolā. Kā datu iegūšanas metodes tika izmantotas skolotāju aptaujas, intervijas ar angļu valodas skolotājiem, 57 skolēnu aptaujas (vecumā no 10 līdz 14 gadiem) pirms pētījuma, mobilo līdzekļu praktiskā izmantošana, un pamatskolas vecuma skolēnu aptaujas pēc pētījuma. Mixed Finite Elements for multilayered smart plates nonlocal analysis

A mixed finite element formulation for the Eringen’s nonlocal analysis of smart, magneto-electro-elastic, multilayered plates is presented. Finite elements for different refined higher order plate layerwise theories are systematically developed. They ensure interface continuity and allow associating different values of the nonlocal parameter to the laminate layers. Standard 9-node and 16-node isoparametric, quadrilateral finite elements have been implemented and tested, showing the characteristics and limitations of the proposed approach.

Refractive index sensing by a silicon metasurface

The availability of smart materials represents a key enabling milestone for the realization of smart sensors. In this research field, optical sensing has gained a lot of attention in various applications ranging from basic physics to chemistry and biology. Here, we exploit the non-invasive nature of light to achieve an innovative sensor based on all-optical dielectric nano-resonators arranged in a periodic fashion. The proposed sensor can measure refractive index changes up to 10(-6).
