L’Espagne a voté en 2006 la Loi relative à la promotion de l’autonomie personnelle et au soutien des personnes en situation de dépendance. Le présent article établit les grandes balises de la loi et les limites de son application en regard de la demande réelle en prenant comme exemple la communauté valencienne, tout en montrant que le coût de la dépendance revient encore essentiellement aux familles.

This paper investigates the behavior of children from low socioeconomic status families and examines the effects of a socioemotional education program on aggression in children. The results of the program are compared according to the children’s gender and age, the family structure, the parents’ educational attainment, and social status. The results show that applying socioemotional education programs reduces children’s aggression and encourages positive development during adolescence. This positive development fosters open, expressive behavior.

Se realiza un trabajo de investigación sobre la victimización de personas con enfermedad mental, desde la perspectiva de que este colectivo es con frecuencia víctima de maltrato, a pesar de los prejuicios y el estigma que pende sobre él. Dada su especial vulnerabilidad social, los y las profesionales que atienden a esta población tienen la responsabilidad de visibilizar este fenómeno, y validar los instrumentos de diagnóstico que utilizan como útiles para detectar maltrato.
