The social isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the sexuality and quality of life of people around the world. A particularly negative effect was detected on women’s sexual health. As a consequence, many women began to use social media not only to stay in touch with their social networks, but as a way of maintaining sexual contact. The main aim of this research is to observe the positive effects of sexting in women’s wellbeing as a strategy to manage the negative effects of a condition of forced isolation. This article looks at how the organization of the education system and the pathways leading to higher education enable social mobility or on the contrary the reproduction of inequalities. We thus compare three countries: France, Switzerland, and Canada. The results using panel data in these three countries show two different situations. The more higher education is valued rather than vocational training, the more inequalities tend to increase. The competition is such that it is the youth with a privileged social background who benefit more from its expansion.
