ABSTRACTThis study extends previous research on recovery from work stress by investigating the role of qualitative job demands and leadership in employees’ work-related rumination (WRR). The long-term development of WRR was examined from a person-centred approach across 22 months. Drawing on the stressor-detachment framework and conservation of resources theory, we investigated whether different WRR profiles could be understood in terms of levels of and changes in quantitative, cognitive, and emotional job demands, several aspects of supervisory leadership, and exhaustion that was expected to result from the impeded energy restoration process. Tarkastelemme henkilöverotuksen kehitystä 2000-luvulla eri maakunnissa ja ikäryhmissä. Nuorimmat (alle 40-vuotiaiden) ikäluokat ovat jääneet vanhempien työikäisten ikäluokkien (yli 40-vuotiaiden) vero- ja siis myös tulokehityksestä jälkeen. Kokonaisuudessaan henkilöverokertymä on kasvanut noin 25 %, ja maakuntien väliset erot ovat vähentyneet merkittävästi vuosina 2000–2018. Nykyisen ajankohtaisen veroproblematiikan kannalta havaittu maakuntien myönteinen kehitys helpottaa maakuntapohjaisen sote-mallin rahoitusta. nonPeerReviewed

I´m tired of being tired - Fatigue as experienced by women with fibromyalgia

AbstractThe aim of the study was to explore how fatigue was experienced and explained in life stories of women with a long history of fibromyalgia to gain a deeper understanding of fatigue as a phenomenon. The data was drawn from the narrative interviews of 20 purposively chosen women with fibromyalgia. In the analysis, the ideas of episodic reading and paradigmatic analysis of narratives were used to find recurrent and repeated experiences of fatigue from the data. Five main themes emerged from the data: sleepless nights, physical weakness, loss of mental energy, social withdrawal and overwhelming exhaustion. Aims To assess the long-term safety, tolerability, and efficacy of flexible-dose fesoterodine in elderly patients with OAB. Methods Patients aged ≥65 years who completed a 12-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial were eligible for the 12-week, open-label (OL) extension phase. Comparison of oxidoreductive enzyme activities in three coal tar creosote-contaminated soils

This study used laboratory experiments to compare the effects of coal tar creosote on the activity of oxidoreductive enzymes in sandy loam, loamy sand and sandy clay loam soils. Different amounts of coal tar creosote were added to soil samples as follows: 0 (control), 2, 10 or 50 g kg–1 dry matter. The activity of soil dehydrogenases (DHAs), o-diphenol oxidase (o-DPO), catalase (CAT), nitrate reductase (NR) and peroxidases (POX) was determined. Contamination of soil with coal tar creosote affected oxidoreductase activity.
