Background The oral cavity is a reservoir for Helicobacter pylori, and occupations that involve close contact with it, like Dentistry, could entail a higher risk of colonization. Objective: to evaluate the relation and the moderating effect of the organizational factors on the attitudes towards communication, empathy, and emotional intelligence in the nurses. Method: a cross-sectional study was conducted with a convenience sample of 268 nurses from Valencia, Spain. The attitudes towards communication were evaluated by means of the specifically designed instrument, those towards empathy with the Jefferson’s Scale of Empathy for Nursing Students, and those towards emotional intelligence by means of the Trait Meta-Mood Scale, consisting of 24 items. El análisis de los informes emitidos por la Junta de Comercio de Valencia en la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII revela la influencia que tuvo la institución en la conformación de la política arrocera de la monarquía. Al igual que ésta, su posición evolucionó desde la hostilidad hacia el cultivo del arroz en la etapa inicial de su intervención hasta la defensa de sus ventajas en la década de 1790. The authorities have quickly developed a keen interest in television. The army, in particular, used it in order to build and promote its image in Spanish society. In spite of, the army doesn’t succeed to finish with its traditional isolation, neither to put to stop to its bad reputation. Indeed, the Spanish television emphasized the melodramatic dimension and the menacing presence of the army. The television shots of the attempted to coup d’état of February 23rd 1981 enabled that media to break with its propagandist function and to put a stop to the illusion according to which the past had been forgotten forever.

Abstract This study aims at understanding how the master narratives conveyed by the national accounts given by 14 to 18-year-old Spanish and Portuguese students converge or differ from one another and how they relate to national identity and temporal orientation. This paper aims to chart how the Basque writer Pío Baroja’s attitude as an intellectual evolved over the final years of the nineteenth and the early decades of the twentieth century, at a time when a new ‘social subject’ was emerging and becoming consolidated in Spain. It therefore analyses Baroja’s thought in relation to two of the topics of greatest concern to Spanish and European intellectuals of the day: the relationship of the individual to the mass and intellectuals’ attitude to democracy.
