El español hablado en Valencia. Interferencia lingüística y enseñanza de la lengua

2017

1997

Legal literature is one of the areas most neglected by bibliometric studies, both in Spa in and abroad. Within this context, the general aim of this note is to check the utility of national databases in the retrieval and overview of the legal literature published in Spanish journals. 447 papers on collective bargaining and allied subjects published before 1995 and included in ISOC database have been retrieved. Using a computer file of these papers, the distributions by years, number of authors per paper, institutions of origin, journals and specific subjects was analysed from a bibliometric approach. As a case study, distributions of the publications which have been used in a research paper…

Alcune riflessioni

2022

Since the end of the nineteenth century, the attention of Italian historiography to the Spanish monarchy in the modern age has been a constant in political, social and economic studies. However, until the end of the last century, the attention to the ‘Atlantic dimension’ of the Monarchy was an expression of the interest of individual scholars within a panorama strongly characterized by research on the Mediterranean and European context. The passage from the 20th to the 21st century, instead, has witnessed the affirmation of new historiographical paths that adopted as an indispensable assumption the awareness of the impossibility of studying the Spanish monarchy if not in its imperial dimens…

An empirical investigation of the effect of borrowing constraints on Spanish consumption

2003

This work analyses the relevance of borrowing constraints on the intertemporal behaviour of Spanish non-durable consumption. We estimate Euler equations with cohort data extracted from the "Encuesta Continua de Presupuestos Familiares" (ECPF) for the period 1985-1993. The results are robust to the use of different estimators to eliminate fixed individual effects, to different specifications of the model, to the effect of uncertainty and to the presence of habits in consumption. Our results allow us to conclude that non-durable consumption of a considerable fraction of the Spanish population is affected by borrowing constraints. At the same time, and in accordance with similar results for ot…

Adaptation and Initial Validation of the BRCS in an Elderly Spanish Sample

2012

Resilience is understood as a dynamic process encompassing positive adaptation within the context of adversity. This study examined the validity of the Brief Resilient Coping Scale (BRCS), a 4-item measure designed to capture tendencies to cope with stress in a highly adaptive manner, in an elderly Spanish population. A total of 133 elderly people from an association of retired persons in Valencia (Spain) provided the responses for the validation study. The factorial validity of the scale was tested using confirmatory factor analysis, with a single dimension of resilience with adequate fit indexes emerging from this analysis. The BRCS has adequate internal consistency both at the scale and…

L'Espagne, un nouveau pays d'immigration : l'exemple des immigrées roumaines (analyse comparative)

2013

This survey focuses on the immigration phenomenon in Spain and its impact on contemporary Spanish society. Studying how numerous immigrants have been settling in Spain is a way to account for the evolution of Spanish society: on the one hand by analysing how and why a country that traditionally used to export its labour-force could attract immigrants; and on the other hand by examining how Spain has been managing these influxes. This phenomenon shall be approached thanks to the case of Romanian women. For the last couple of years, Romanians have been the largest group of foreign nationals in Spain. I shall herein set to describe the various stages and characteristics of Romanian immigration…
