Influence of pea genotype on root associated fluorescent pseudomonads, impact on plant iron nutrition

International audience; Pea has a high potential in agroecology because of its ability to fix atmospheric nitrogen and for Humannutrition due to the high amino-acids content of its seeds. However, pea can suffer from a susceptibility toiron deficiency in calcareous soils as expressed by chlorosis symptoms. Previous studies have shown thatsiderophores of model strains of fluorescent pseudomonads (fp), pyoverdines, promote iron nutrition ofarabidopsis and tobacco. Motility and acoustic signals of the decapod Cherax destructor

The present study examined for the first time the sound production and motility of the freshwater decapod crustacean Cherax destructor. An acoustic and video system was used to monitor the behavior of 10 individual (5 males and 5 females) in an experimental tank. Video data were used to analyze three motility variables (velocity, distance moved, and angular velocity). Acoustic data were analyzed to obtain abundance and these acoustic parameters: duration, 1st and 2nd peak frequency, sound pressure level (SPL) and the bandwidth. La possibilità di introduzione dell’iperico negli ordinamenti colturali mediterranei richiede la definizione di numerosi aspetti relativi alla tecnica di coltivazione, il cui approfondimento permetterebbe di ottimizzare le rese sia sul piano della quantità che della qualità, rispettando al contempo il criterio della massima efficienza nell’uso delle risorse produttive. Accessioni di H. perforatum ottenute da seme proveniente da tre diverse aree italiane (nord-Trento, centro-Siena e sud-Agrigento) sono state coltivate sia in pieno campo che in vaso.
