Stable isotopes covering 96-7 ka BP from stalagmite CM (Santo Tomas Cave, Cuba)
2020
We present a new speleothem trace element and stable isotope record, which extends previous paleoclimate evidence from Cuban speleothems to the last 96 ka. Stable isotope samples were micromilled at a resolution of 0.10-0.33mm, and measured using an IRMS equipped with a Gasbench. Line scans of Element/Calcium ratios of the speleothem were measured by laser ablation ICPMS and were reduced to the resolution of the stable isotope records.
Crystallographic and (spectro)electrochemical characterizations of cobalt(II) 10-phenyl-5,15-di-p-tolylporphyrin
2021
International audience; The synthesis, cyclic and rotating disk electrode voltammograms, UV-visible absorption and Xray diffraction analyses of cobalt(II) 10-phenyl-5,15-dip -tolylporphyrin (1-Co) are described. 1-Co was crystallized by slow diffusion of n-hexane into a concentrated CH2Cl2 solution. X-ray diffraction analyses reveals porphyrin aromatic cycle stacking in the crystal, C-H•••π interactions of the CH2Cl2 solvent with the π-system of one tolyl group and Co(II)•••π (porphyrin ring) interactions. The abstraction of 1.0 F/mol during the electrolysis at the first oxidation potential was followed by spectroelectrochemistry. It leads to the Co(II) → Co(III) transformation rather than …
A stacked interleaved DC-DC buck converter for proton exchange membrane electrolyzer applications: Design and experimental validation
2019
Abstract Since the two last decades, hydrogen production has been attracting the attention of the scientific community thanks to its inherent very low pollution when energy coming from renewable energy sources (RESs) are used. However, it implies the use of DC/DC converters to interface source and load. These conversion systems must meet several requirements from current ripple point of view, energy efficiency, and performance to preserve the sustainability of hydrogen production. This article proposes the design and realization of a stacked interleaved buck converter to supply a proton exchange membrane electrolyzer. The converter is designed to ensure a low output current ripple and a sui…
SEE on Different Layers of Stacked-SRAMs
2015
International audience; This paper presents heavy-ion and proton radiation test results of a 90 nm COTS SRAM with stacked structure. Radiation tests were made using high penetration heavy-ion cocktails at the HIF (Belgium) and at RADEF (Finland) as well as low energy protons at RADEF. The heavy-ion SEU cross-section showed an unusual profile with a peak at the lowest LET (heavy-ion with the highest penetration range). The discrepancy is due to the fact that the SRAM is constituted of two vertically stacked dice. The impact of proton testing on the response of both stacked dice is presented. The results are discussed and the SEU cross-sections of the upper and lower layers are compared. The …
An Ensemble Learning Method for Emotion Charting Using Multimodal Physiological Signals
2022
Emotion charting using multimodal signals has gained great demand for stroke-affected patients, for psychiatrists while examining patients, and for neuromarketing applications. Multimodal signals for emotion charting include electrocardiogram (ECG) signals, electroencephalogram (EEG) signals, and galvanic skin response (GSR) signals. EEG, ECG, and GSR are also known as physiological signals, which can be used for identification of human emotions. Due to the unbiased nature of physiological signals, this field has become a great motivation in recent research as physiological signals are generated autonomously from human central nervous system. Researchers have developed multiple methods for …
Restoration and Enhancement of Historical Stereo Photos
2021
Restoration of digital visual media acquired from repositories of historical photographic and cinematographic material is of key importance for the preservation, study and transmission of the legacy of past cultures to the coming generations. In this paper, a fully automatic approach to the digital restoration of historical stereo photographs is proposed, referred to as Stacked Median Restoration plus (SMR+). The approach exploits the content redundancy in stereo pairs for detecting and fixing scratches, dust, dirt spots and many other defects in the original images, as well as improving contrast and illumination. This is done by estimating the optical flow between the images, and using it …
