Background: The use of different growth tables to assess the population's nutritional status has given rise to a series of limitations arising from the lack of consensus and uniform methodological criteria. Līdz šim ir veikts neliels skaits pētījumu par tulkošanas nozari, kuros pētīti tulkotāja profesijas sociālie aspekti, lai novērtētu profesijas statusu Latvijas darba tirgū. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir iegūt vispārēju informāciju par tulkotāja profesijas statusu Latvijā un noskaidrot, kādi ir tulkotāja profesijas statusu ietekmējošie faktori. Pētījuma ietvaros divu mēnešu ilgā periodā tika veikta anketēšana, lai noskaidrotu, vai tulkotāja profesija ir zema statusa profesija, kāds ir profesijas prestižs un to, kādi faktori ir ietekmējuši respondentu viedokli par tulkotāja profesijas statusu. Statistical Approximation of Fourier Transform-IR Spectroscopy Data for Zinc White Pigment from Twentieth-Century Russian Paintings

We present a statistical model for approximation of experimental Fourier transform-IR spectroscopy (FTIR) data for paint samples from paintings of different ages. The model utilizes random variations in some parameters (initial ageing rate, degree of change in ageing rate and time at which the change occurs). We determine the parameters characterizing variation in the paint composition and the storage conditions for the paintings. The numerical calculation is qualitatively consistent with the experimental data. Bisphosphonates offer a significant improvement in the quality of life for cancer patients; these potent inhibitors of bone resorption have been shown to markedly reduce the morbidity frequently resulting from bone metastases. Despite the success of bisphosphonates as therapeutic agents, however, toxicity in the form of osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ) is a rare complication whose incidence rate has climbed in recent years. La sépulture à char de La Tène A ancienne des “Craises” à Molinons (Yonne)

The study reports on a chariot tomb excavated in 1985 at Les Craises in Molinons (Yonne). Set in an adventitious position in the midst of a monument with three quadrangular enclosures, the grave was of an adult of undetermined sex. Despite later pillaging, the goods found in this aristocratic tomb permit a dating to the second quarter of the 5th century BC, and an unusual cultural attribution, on the frontier in the Parisian Basin between the Jura culture to the south and the Marne-Moselle culture to the north.

This article explores the long-term dynamics of material use in France over a period of 185 years. It is based on material flow accounts that are perfectly consistent with the standards of Material Flows Analysis at the national economic scale. This work - which covers domestic extraction, imports and exports - is the first long-term study of material flows for France, with annual and national data for most of the period. Our database allows us to study the evolution of French metabolism during the industrialization of the country, together with the increasing dependence on abiotic materials.
