Retrieving Open Source Software Licenses

Open Source Software maintenance and reuse require identifying and comprehending the applied software licenses. This paper first characterizes software maintenance, and open source software (OSS) reuse which are particularly relevant in this context. The information needs of maintainers and reusers can be supported by reverse engineering tools at different information retrieval levels. GLOBAL DELAY TIME FOR GENERAL DISTRIBUTED NETWORKS WITH APPLICATIONS TO TIMING ANALYSIS OF DIGITAL MOS INTEGRATED CIRCUITS

We consider here a general nerwork composed by n‐distributed parameters lines (with telegraph‐equations models) and m‐capacitors, all connected by a resistive multiport. An asymptotic stability property drives us to define and evaluate a global parameter (“λ‐delay time”) which describes the speed of signals propagation through the network. Because of its simplicity of calculation and its tightness, the given upper bound of the λ‐delay time is useful in timing analysis of MOS integrated chips.

Tuning the pH-Switch of Supramolecular Polymer Carriers for siRNA to Physiologically Relevant pH

The preparation of histidine enriched dendritic peptide amphiphiles and their self-assembly into multicomponent pH-switchable supramolecular polymers is reported. Alternating histidine and phenylalanine peptide synthons allow the assembly/disassembly to be adjusted in a physiologically relevant range of pH 5.3-6.0. Coassembly of monomers equipped with dendritic tetraethylene glycol chains with monomers bearing peripheral primary amine groups leads to nanorods with a tunable cationic surface charge density. Measurement of nanoparticle mass distributions by laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry.

In this paper, access to the mass distribution analysis of nanoparticles is described based on laser desorption/ionization and time of flight mass spectrometry. Two examples are given, demonstrating the accurate mass distribution analysis of nanoparticles fabricated both ex situ and in situ during the laser-assisted desorption process. The potentials and the limitations of the method are discussed, with special emphasis on carbonaceous clusters and molecules.

Alkylresorcinols (ARs) are phytochemicals mainly associated with rye/wheat bran. Plasma ARs and their plasma and urine metabolites are considered as biomarkers for whole-grain rye/wheat intake. However ARs metabolite day and night variations have not been studied in prostate cancer patients yet. We investigated ARs metabolites 3, 5-dihydroxy-benzoic acid (DHBA), and 3-(3, 5-dihydroxyphenyl)-1-propanoic acid (DHPPA) in urine and plasma in prostate cancer patients and in control group. Structural phase transitions on AgCuS stromeyerite mineral under compression.

The structural behavior of mineral Stromeyerite, AgCuS, has been studied by means of angle-dispersive X-ray diffraction measurements up to 13 GPa and ab initio total-energy calculations. Two high-pressure phase transitions are found at 1.4 and 5.7 GPa, from the initial distorted Ni(2)In-type phase (AuRbS-type, RP, space group Cmc2(1)) through an anti-PbClF-type phase (HP1, space group P4/nmm) to a monoclinic distortion of this latter phase (HP2, space group P2(1)/m). High-pressure vibrational and optical study of Bi2Te3

We report an experimental and theoretical lattice dynamics study of bismuth telluride (Bi2Te 3 )u p to 23 GPa together with an experimental and theoretical study of the optical absorption and reflection up to 10 GPa. The indirect bandgap of the low-pressure rhombohedral (R-3m) phase (α-Bi2Te 3) was observed to decrease with pressure at a rate of − 6m eV/GPa. In regard to lattice dynamics, Raman-active modes of α-Bi2Te 3 were observed up to 7.4 GPa. The pressure dependence of their frequency and width provides evidence of the presence of an electronic-topological transition around 4.0 GPa. The continuous cooling transformation (CCT) as a flexible tool to investigate polymer crystallization under processing conditions

An experimental route for investigating polymer crystallization over a wide range of cooling rates (from 0.01 to 1000◦C/s) and pressures (from 0.1 to 40 MPa) is illustrated, using a method that recalls the approach adopted in metallurgy for studying structure development in metals. Two types of experimental setup were used, namely an apparatus for fast cooling of thin films (100–200 μm thick) at various cooling rates under atmospheric pressure and a device (based on a on-purpose modified injection molding machine) for quenching massive samples (about 1–2 cm3) under hydrostatic pressure fields. Effective hydrostatic limits of pressure media for high‐pressure crystallographic studies

The behavior of a number of commonly used pressure media, including nitrogen, argon, 2-propanol, a 4:1 methanol–ethanol mixture, glycerol and various grades of silicone oil, has been examined by measuring the X-ray diffraction maxima from quartz single crystals loaded in a diamond-anvil cell with each of these pressure media in turn. In all cases, the onset of non-hydrostatic stresses within the medium is detectable as the broadening of the rocking curves of X-ray diffraction peaks from the single crystals. The onset of broadening of the rocking curves of quartz is detected at ∼9.8 GPa in a 4:1 mixture of methanol and ethanol and at ∼4.2 GPa in 2-propanol, essentially at the same pressures …
