Background Because ixodid ticks are vectors of zoonotic pathogens, including Borrelia, information of their abundance, seasonal variation in questing behaviour and pathogen prevalence is important for human health. Inside urban areas the earth electrodes of the MV/lv substations are often electrically connected together so as to form a single extended earthing system. The advantages of the realization of an extended earthing system are the reduction of the current that each substation earth electrode injects in the soil during the fault and a better uniformity of the voltages to earth inside the urban area. In this article, the authors discuss the legal liabilities of the professional engineer as both the engineer of record of a project and the construction site manager. In particular, this article analyzes the case of a fire at the end-user medium voltage–low-voltage (MV–LV) substation of a shopping center in Italy, which occurred a few years after the maintenance works on the electrical installation. This study was designed to describe and evaluate the eventual prodromic role of the orofacial phenomena encountered in patients suffering from systemic sclerosis. Phenomena preceding the diagnosis and events that occured at the onset of systemic sclerosis were considered. Sclerodermic patients were monitored to implement a secondary preventive plan for controlling oral injuries caused by developing systemic sclerosis.

Κατά την περίοδο 2004 με 2017, συλλέχθηκαν περισσότερα από 350 δείγματα ελεύθερων και διαλελυμένων αερίων στην Ελλάδα. Μαζί με αυτά συνυπολογίστηκαν και βιβλιογραφικά δεδομένα. Για καλύτερη κατανόηση της μελέτης, η χώρα διαιρέθηκε σε τέσσερις γεωλογικές ενότητες (Εξωτερικές [EH] και Εσωτερικές [IH] Ελληνίδες, Ελληνική Ενδοχώρα [HH] και ενεργό ηφαιστειακό τόξο [VA]) και με βάση τον συγκεκριμένο διαχωρισμό ερευνήθηκε η πιθανή σχέση της κύριας γεωχημικής σύστασης των αερίων με τα διάφορα γεωλογικά και γεωδυναμικά καθεστώτα των περιοχών δειγματοληψίας.
