In this article, we explore the spiritual dimensions of endurance running. Utilizing existential psychology as our theoretical framework, we approach spirituality as a broad concept encompassing both religious and humanistic worldviews. Through the first author's reflexive narrative and a discourse analysis of a Finnish runner's magazine, Juoksija, this study aimed to gain a deeper understanding of how distance runners negotiate dominant discourses on sport and religion in the process of making running existentially meaningful to them. Collected World Experience About the Performance of the Snorkel/Chimney Endovascular Technique in the Treatment of Complex Aortic Pathologies

OBJECTIVES: We sought to analyze the collected worldwide experience with use of snorkel/chimney endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) for complex abdominal aneurysm treatment. BACKGROUND: EVAR has largely replaced open surgery worldwide for anatomically suitable aortic aneurysms. Lack of availability of fenestrated and branched devices has encouraged an alternative strategy utilizing parallel or snorkel/chimney grafts (ch-EVAR). METHODS: Clinical and radiographic information was retrospectively reviewed and analyzed on 517 patients treated by ch-EVAR from 2008 from 2014 by prearranged defined and documented protocols. Endoluminal Stent-Graft Relining of Visceral Artery Bypass Grafts to Treat Perigraft Seroma

PURPOSE: To describe the endovascular treatment of intra-abdominal perigraft seromas associated with small-caliber expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) grafts. CASE REPORTS: Two patients who underwent hybrid repair of thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms in which renovisceral bypass grafts were implanted presented with large, symptomatic perigraft seromas. The 5- to 8-mm-diameter ePTFE bypass grafts believed to be involved in the seromas were successfully relined with self-expanding Viabahn stent-grafts in percutaneous procedures. The patients' symptoms were relieved, and imaging follow-up (18 and 10 months, respectively) has shown near complete resorption of the seromas. CONCLUSION: It is…

Resumen El presente trabajo tuvo por objetivo evaluar la incidencia de las prácticas verdes, la innovación sostenible y el manejo del desperdicio alimentario en la construcción del capital de marca de los restaurantes. A partir de una investigación cuantitativa dirigida a responsables de restaurantes en Ecuador, se obtuvieron 120 cuestionarios válidos que permitieron estimar un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales a través de la regresión de mínimos cuadrados parciales. Resumen El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar cómo la sostenibilidad (económica, social y ambiental), bajo el enfoque de triple línea base, afecta la calidad de servicio, el valor logístico y la satisfacción en empresas del sector marítimo. Se propone un modelo teórico que se contrasta con la información suministrada por una muestra de 50 responsables de empresas (transitarios, importadores y exportadores) en Panamá. Obstruktīva miega apnoja (OMA) ir hroniska slimība un viens no visbiežāk sastopamākajiem miega traucējumiem, kas raksturojas ar epizodisku, daļēju (hipopnoja) vai pilnīgu (apnoja), elpceļu aizvēršanos miegā, rezultējoties ar mikropamošanās epizodēm. OMA izšķir kā neatkarīgu riska faktoru kardiovaskulāru notikumu attīstībai, tā tiek uzskatīta par vienu no visbiežāk sastopamajiem rezistentas hipertensijas (RH) cēloņiem.
