Synthese mehrerer polymerhomologer reihen von diol-oligo-urethanen. Synthese von makromolekeln einheitlicher größe. V. Mitt.

1961

Several homologous polymeric series of diol-oligo-urethanes are prepared by the method of duplication and by synthesis step by step. The application of these methods is discussed thoroughly. The diol-oligo-urethanes are characterized by end-group analysis.

A discourse on human hair fibers and reflections on the conservation of drug molecules

1996

A gross discourse on human hair fibers and their formation is presented stressing the various interdisciplinary aspects, such as the morphological, biological, structural and biochemical data considered to be important in the field of hair analysis. An attempt is made to explain the incorporation of drug molecules during hair fiber formation by using the classical concepts of drug absorption based on lipoid theory and the pH-partition hypothesis as well as a modern biological approach on the permeability of cell membranes. In addition to the physiochemical considerations of the transport properties of a particular drug molecule such as a) the lipophilicity, which determines permeability thr…

Atbilstības dzimumu normām, pārrunu stila un interešu fokusa saistība ar pretreakcijas efektu

2022

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kā pārrunu vadīšanas stils (asertīvs/ neasertīvs) un interešu fokuss (savas/citu intereses) ietekmē pretreakciju pret pārrunu dalībnieku atkarībā no viņa dzimuma, un kā atbilstība dzimuma lomas normām prognozē pretreakcijas efektu pārrunās. Izlasi veido n=372 (84%) sievietes un n=69 (16%) vīrieši, vecumā no 18 līdz 70 gadiem (M=40, SD=10,23), 85% respondentu ir augstākā izglītība. Pētījumam ir eksperimentāls starpgrupu dizains 2x2x2. Pētījumā tika adaptēta Sociālās pretreakcijas efekta skala (Amanatullah & Tinsley, 2013). Iegūtie rezultāti uzrāda interešu fokusa prognozējamo efektu uz pretreakciju pārrunās (pārstāvot cita intereses, tā samazinās). Pētījums a…

"Le Ravissement de Lol V. Stein" et "La Princesse de Clèves" : une lecture intertextuelle des stéréotypes

2017

The subject matter of this article will be an intertextual analysis of the pivotal ball scenes in the novels Le Ravissement de Lol V. Stein by Marguerite Duras and La Princesse de Clèves by Madame de La Fayette. Despite the obvious differences in the poetics, creative visions, and styles of both writers, the reading of a 20th century literary work through the prism of the classic text exposes the stereotypes of love and a femme fatale also present in the novel by Duras. The ball from Le Ravissement de Lol V. Stein, which draws on the ball from La Princesse de Clèves, illustrates the complex nature of love as an unhappy, mysterious emotion. The 17th century literary work inspired Duras to im…

Islamofobija Latvijā

2016

Fluorination of some highly functionalized cycloalkanes: chemoselectivity and substrate dependence.

2017

A study exploring the chemical behavior of some dihydroxylated β-amino ester stereo- and regioisomers, derived from unsaturated cyclic β-amino acids is described. The nucleophilic fluorinations involving hydroxy–fluorine exchange of some highly functionalized alicyclic diol derivatives have been carried out in view of selective fluorination, investigating substrate dependence, neighboring group assistance and chemodifferentiation.

Images of Japan and the Japanese : the representations of the Japanese culture in the popular literature targeted at the Western World in the 1980s-1…

2002

This study draws together a number of popular issues: images, intercultural communication and Japan. In particular, Japan has been a popular topic for at least the last three decades. The Japanese Economical Miracle awoke a real boom in the Western literature at the end of 1970s, and in the 1980s the Miracle became a fashionable topic in the Western world. Because of this a great amount of studies, books and articles is available for those who want to learn about this nation. The aim of this study is to examine “images of Japan and the Japanese in the Western world” on the basis of the literature targeted at Western audiences during the big boom. Mari Suvanto selvittää väitöstutkimuksessaan…
