An inflammatory component is present in the microenvironment of most neoplastic tissues, including those not causally related to an obvious inflammatory process. Several microRNAs, and especially miR-155, play an essential role in both the innate and adaptative immune response. Resveratrol (trans-3,4#,5-trihydroxystilbene) is a natural antioxidant with anti-inflammatory properties that is currently at the stage of preclinical studies for human cancer prevention. The stilbenoid building blocks of these compounds provide the molecular basis for interesting photochemical and photophysical effects like dimerisation, oligomerisation or the formation of charge carriers.

Don Enrique de Aragón (c. 1384-1434) resulta una de las figuras más influyentes en el período del Humanismo peninsular. Su primera creación –Los doze trabajos de Hércules– constituye la primera interpretación mitológica del prerrenacimiento hispánico, al tiempo que constituye uno de los testimonios romances más antiguos del tópico de las armas y de las letras. Este artículo pretende caracterizar desde el punto de vista filológico sus rasgos de estilo más representativos, así como iniciar posibilidades re-novadas de estudio, centradas en la Fraseología hispánica medieval.

Por un lado, pretende trazar la estela que la comedia bizantina de Lope La viuda, casada y doncella pudo dejar –sola o a través de la novela Guzmán el Bravo– en la narrativa de Alonso de Castillo Solórzano, fundamentalmente en dos de sus novelas: El bien hacer no se pierde (Noches de placer, 1631) y La ingratitud castigada (La quinta de Laura, 1649). Adult-onset Still's disease with elderly onset: results from a multicentre study

Objective In this study, we aimed to describe the clinical characteristics, life-threatening complications occurrence, and mortality of adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD) patients with elderly onset. Methods A multicentre retrospective study of prospectively followed-up AOSD patients included in Gruppo Italiano di Ricerca in Reumatologia Clinica e Sperimentale (GIRRCS) cohort was performed. Results Out of 221 assessed patients, 37 (16.7%) had an onset of the disease aged over 60 years. When compared with younger patients, these were characterised by a higher prevalence of pericarditis (p=0.008), comorbidities (p < 0.0001), and mortality (p=0.023).
