Experimental Investigations and Numerical Analysis for Improving Knowledge of Incremental Sheet Forming Process for Sheet Metal Parts

The paper is related to the analysis of shape distortions and springback effects arising in Single Point Incremental Forming. An experimental set up has been designed and manufactured to carry single point incremental forming on small size sheet metal parts. The experimental set up is mounted on 3-axes CNC milling machine tool and the forming tool is attached and move with the spindle. Experiments have been carried out on sheet metal parts to obtain tronconical shapes. The forming strategy associated to the movement of the forming tool has been also investigated. Abstract A silo׳s hopper supports the majority loads induced by the stored particulate solids. Such loads vary from filling to discharging provided the hopper is steep enough to secure a mass flow; when the hopper is too shallow to promote a mass flow, funnel flow usually prevails – where how loads develop along walls of a shallow hopper remains to be addressed. In the paper, normal pressure and frictional traction were measured with pressure transducers as imposed by testing material sand along the walls of a full-scale conical shallow hopper. Encenicline hydrochloride (Enc-HCl) crystallizes in four different monohydrate phases, but at the same time crystallization in a nonsolvated phase is not observed, indicating that water plays a crucial role in guiding the crystallization process and ensuring structure stability. All monohydrate phases show exceptionally high stability, and the main structural motif stays intact even after dehydration, leading to isostructural (for I and II) or isomorphic (for III) desolvates. A mononuclear cobalt(II) complex [Co(3,5-dnb)2(py)2(H2O)2] {3,5-Hdnb = 3,5-dinitrobenzoic acid; py = pyridine} was isolated in two polymorphs, in space groups C2/c (1) and P21/c (2). Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses reveal that 1 and 2 are not isostructural in spite of having equal formulas and ligand connectivity. In both structures, the Co(II) centers adopt octahedral {CoN2O4} geometries filled by pairs of mutually trans terminal 3,5-dnb, py, and water ligands. However, the structures of 1 and 2 disclose distinct packing patterns driven by strong intermolecular O-H···O hydrogen bonds, leading to their 0D→2D (1) or 0D→1D (2) extension.
