Ecotheology in the service of religion and science

The aim of the text is to assess the ecumenical potential of various contemporary approaches to ecotheology, which try to take into account the achievements of natural and social sciences. It outlines the effects of the ecumenical interest of the Churches in ecology, understood as a certain style of thinking and acting, taking into account the good of the natural environment. The results of ecological interest in the Churches are discussed by numerous authors. For example, two complementary concepts from Western and Eastern Christianity are presented: Thomas Berry's Interdisciplinary Ecotheology and John Zizioulas' Ethically Oriented Ecotheology.

El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar los factores de protección o riesgo de los estilos educativos parentales para el consumo de alcohol, tabaco, cannabis y otras drogas, considerando la interacción de los estilos parentales con la peligrosidad del barrio. A partir de las respuestas de 628 adolescentes, 369 mujeres (58.8%) y 259 hombres (41.2%) entre 15 y 17 años (M = 16.03 años, DT = 0.79 años), se clasificaron las familias según el estilo educativo (autorizativo, indulgente, autoritario o negligente) y el riesgo percibido en el barrio (alto o bajo). Este trabajo analiza la figura de Segunda Martínez de Robles, pintora, traductora y escritora de la novela Las españolas náufragas o Correspondencia de dos amigas (1831). La autora refiere en ese texto algunos hechos con claras referencias autobiográficas. La novela fue escrita en estilo epistolar, un género emergente en aquellos años, y en su prólogo Segunda deja oír su propia voz justificando la osadía de su escritura novel por una necesidad económica. The present study followed 156 Finnish children (Mage = 7.25 years) during the first grade of primary school to examine to what extent parent- and teacher-rated temperament impacts children's math and reading skill development during the first grade, and the extent to which this impact would be mediated by teachers' interaction styles with the children. The results showed that the impact of children's low task orientation and negative emotionality on their math skill development was mediated via teachers' behavioral control and, among girls, also by psychological control.
