Tämä kuvaileva tutkimus pyrkii selvittämään toimintaterapeutin toteuttaman toimintamahdollisuuksien arvioinnin nykykäytäntöjä Suomessa nuorten mielenterveystyötä parissa. Tutkimuksessa pyritään kuvailemaan arvioinnin tämän hetkistä sisältöä, arviointikäytäntöjä sekä niissä esille tulevia eroja ja yhteneväisyyksiä. Tutkimuksen tarkoitus on hahmottaa arvioinnin nykytilaa ja osoittaa sen rakenteita. Tutkimuksen avulla nuorten mielenterveystyössä työskentelevien toimintaterapeuttien on mahdollista arvioida omaa työtään suhteessa valitsevaan nykytilaan. Applying Student Development Theories: Enhancing International Student Academic Success and Integration

Student development theories (SDT) focus on the growth and change occurring in students while attending higher education. In this article, we propose that the application of student development theories supports holistic development in international students and helps us understand international students’ academic success and integration. We outline a combination of student development models, derived from SDT, and interact them with concepts from international student mobility and migration (ISM). These models, when applied to student services, may assist higher education institutions (HEIs) in designing student services for international students enhancing academic success and integration.

Linguistic, Contextual, and Experiential Equivalence Issues in the Adaptation of a Performance-Based Assessment of Generic Skills in Higher Education

This qualitative study investigated the various linguistic, contextual, and experiential equivalence issues embedded in a performance-based instrument aimed at assessing generic skills in higher education. A rigorous translation and adaptation process (American English to Finnish) was conducted on one instrument, namely Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA+) International. The data were obtained from cognitive laboratories (n = 13), with think-alouds and follow-up interviews conducted among Finnish undergraduate students. The role of personal and relative job performance in promotion decisions

This study employs personnel data from a large university to examine how supervisors utilize information on employees' job performance in promotion decisions. The study shows that better-performing employees are rewarded with promotions as a higher output of peer-reviewed publications and better quality of research output are associated with a higher probability of being promoted. The study also shows that supervisors compare their subordinates' job performance when deciding on promotions: employees who outperform their colleagues in terms of research output and research quality are more likely to be promoted.
