Although many devices have recently been proposed for pressure regulation and energy harvesting in water distribution and transport networks, very few applications are still documented in the scientific literature. A new in-line Banki turbine with positive outflow pressure and a mobile regulating flap, named Power Recovery System (PRS), was installed and tested in a real water transport network for the regulation of pressure and flow rate. Andersen and Jordan (1968) and Andersen (1971) argued that fiscal actions have a negligible effect on nominal income and can not sustain a stable and balanced economic growth. Also, they argued, along with other researchers who have embraced monetarism ideas from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, that the budget deficit presents negative effects in the economy that limit private investment. In this article, we analyzed the empirical relationship that is established between the tax actions and the long and short term national income in the U.S. economy and the economies of Eurozone.

Non-structural measures for flood risk mitigation are often more economically accessible, easier to implement, and are highly effective, especially in view of the pursuit of risk resilience objectives. Among the non-structural measures, more importance is increasingly being attributed to flood proofing interventions. There are two main types of flood proofing: dry proofing and wet proofing. The FLO Diffusive 1D-2D Model for Simulation of River Flooding

An integrated 1D-2D model for the solution of the diffusive approximation of the shallow water equations, named FLO, is proposed in the present paper. Governing equations are solved using the MArching in Space and Time (MAST) approach. The 2D floodplain domain is discretized using a triangular mesh, and standard river sections are used for modeling 1D flow inside the section width occurring with low or standard discharges. 1D elements, inside the 1D domain, are quadrilaterals bounded by the trace of two consecutive sections and by the sides connecting their extreme points. W pracy przedstawiono wielokryterialną metodę podejmowania decyzji: rozmytą metodę TOPSIS. Jest to alternatywa dla metod AHP, TOPSIS, ELECTRE lub PROMETHEE. W pracy przedstawiono możliwość zastosowania rozmytej metody TOPSIS w zarządzaniu łańcuchem dostaw żywności (FSCM). W tym celu przedstawiono krótki przegląd literatury. Następnie przedstawiono rozmytą metodę TOPSIS, na końcu artykułu pokazano możliwość zastosowania metody do rozwiązania problemu.

W pracy przedstawiono jedną z wielu prezentowanych w literaturze przedmiotu metodę wyboru lokalizacji logistycznego centrum dystrybucyjnego w łańcuchach dostaw żywności. Metoda ta rozpatruje problem wyboru lokalizacji w aspekcie kosztów całkowitych lub czynnika przestrzeni, a dokładniej – odległości. W pracy przedstawiono możliwość zastosowania tej metody. W tym celu przedstawiono krótki przegląd literatury, następnie na końcu artykułu pokazano możliwość zastosowania metody do rozwiązania problemu.
