Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan lähimerkityksisten modaalisanojen EHKÄ ja MAHDOLLISESTI synonymiaa. Työssä selvitetään ensinnäkin, millaisia kollokaatteja modaalisanoilla on eli millaisia sanoja tyypillisesti esiintyy sanojen kotekstissa. Toiseksi tutkitaan, millaisia semanttisia preferenssejä sanoilla on eli millaisia merkitysryhmiä sanojen kollokaatit tyypillisesti edustavat. Tavoite on näitä kotekstuaalisia leksikaalisia piirteitä tutkimalla selvittää, miten synonyymit eroavat toisistaan, ja toisaalta myös tarkastella sitä, mitä yhteisiä piirteitä sanoilla on. Resurrection of Pomphorhynchus tereticollis (Rudolphi, 1809) (Acanthocephala: Pomphorhynchidae) based on new morphological and molecular data

Abstract Pomphorhynchus tereticollis (Rudolphi, 1809) is here redescribed on the basis of Rudolphi’s material, deposited in the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, and on acanthocephalans recently collected from the type host Platichthys flessus (L.) and the region embodying the type locality. Out of the paratypes of P. tereticollis, the lectotype and paralectotypes have been designated. Their morphology fits well with that of newly collected material of P. tereticollis dissected from the type fish host from the Baltic coast near Stralsund. The New World species of the subgenera Allotrichoma Becker and Neotrichoma (new subgenus) are revised, including a phylogenetic analysis of the species groups and subgenera within the genus Allotrichoma. For phylogenetic perspective and to document the monophyly of the genus Allotrichoma and its included subgenera and species groups, we also provide a cladistic analysis of genera within the tribe Hecamedini. The ingroup included seven exemplar congeners from within Allotrichoma. Notes on Shore Flies (Diptera: Ephydridae) from Finland and north-western Russia

The recent checklist of the Ephydridae of Finland by Zatwarnicki and Kahanpää (2014) mentioned 13 ephydrid species as new for Finland without further details. This paper presents detailed records for those species and a few other species of interest. Four species are recorded for the first time from Russia. Trimerina indistincta Krivosheina, 2004 is herein considered as a new junior synonym of Trimerina microchaeta Hendel, 1932, syn. nov.

A revision of the Old World species of Leptopsilopa Cresson (Insecta: Diptera: Ephydridae)

Diagnoses and illustrations of three Leptopsilopa species known in the Old World: L. africana Cresson, L. mutabilis Cresson and L. pollinosa (Kertesz) are provided. Three new synonyms are proposed: L. aurata (Canzoneri and Meneghini) and L. tibialis (Canzoneri and Meneghini) = L. africana; Psilopa confeteae Canzoneri and Munari = L. pollinosa. Three other species are removed from Leptopsilopa and combined with Athyroglossa, as A. leonensis (Canzoneri and Rampini), new combination, A. mianii (Canzoneri) new combination and A. rossii (Canzoneri and Raffone), new combination.

Targeting the tumor mutanome for personalized vaccination therapy

Next generation sequencing enables identification of immunogenic tumor mutations targetable by individualized vaccines. In the B16F10 melanoma system as pre-clinical proof-of-concept model, we found a total of 563 non-synonymous expressed somatic mutations. Of the mutations we tested, one third were immunogenic. Immunization conferred in vivo tumor control, qualifying mutated epitopes as source for effective vaccines.

Kontekstem badań było to, że różni komentatorzy Księgi Ezechiela proponują różniące się między sobą struktury badanych tekstów. Większość z nich pracowała (nadal pracuje) metodami diachronicznymi. Zazwyczaj ci autorzy układają wersy w grupy i tym grupom nadają tytuły. Dlatego celem badań stało się odkrycie struktur opartych o wersy tekstu biblijnego. Można wtedy wskazać konkretne wersy (lub ich części, człony), których użył starożytny autor natchniony. Dlatego zastosowano metodę biblijnej retoryki hebrajskiej, która ma 3 etapy: analizę oddolną, analizę odgórną oraz interpretację teologiczną.
