La presente tesis doctoral examina dos objetivos básicos: i) si la auditoría contribuye a la reducción del coste de financiación de las pymes, por la credibilidad que ésta otorga a la información contable; y ii) si, con independencia de la credibilidad que le otorga la auditoría, la información contable es de mayor calidad. Las motivaciones para este análisis surgen por la relación mostrada en la literatura previa entre el coste de financiación y la calidad de la información contable. Analyses of carbon stable isotopes are often used to estimate the contributions of allochthonous and autochthonous dietary resources to aquatic consumers. Most pelagic food web studies assume that all phytoplankton taxa have a similar δ13C value. We studied pelagic food web compartments (dissolved inorganic carbon [DIC], phytoplankton, bacteria, seston, cladoceran zooplankton) in 12 small (< 0.1 km2) lakes in southern Finland. These lakes were classified as oligotrophic, mesotrophic, eutrophic, and dystrophic based on their concentrations of total phosphorus and dissolved organic carbon. Lentils enhance probiotic growth in yogurt and provide added benefit of antioxidant protection

Abstract We evaluated the antioxidant potential of lentil polysaccharides in stimulating the growth of probiotic bacteria in yogurt. Microbial counts, pH and total titratable acidity (TTA) were measured in yogurt samples containing starter cultures with or without probiotic bacteria, supplemented with whole ground green lentils. Additionally, the antioxidant potential of polysaccharides extracted from green, red, and dehulled red lentils were measured by oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) assay. Abstract The coordinating properties of N , N ′-bis(coordinating group substituted)oxamides have been thoroughly investigated both in aqueous solution and in the solid state. The easy cis – trans isomerization equilibria that they exhibit together with the great variety of N , N ′-substituents which can be used to play on the overall charge, complexing ability and polarity, make them very suitable ligands in designing homo- and heterometallic species.
