Abstract We aimed to investigate the effects of a long-term, individualised, family-based lifestyle intervention on food consumption and nutrient intake from childhood to adolescence. We conducted an 8-year diet and physical activity intervention study in a population sample of children aged 7–9 years at baseline in 2007–2009. We allocated the participants to the intervention group (n 306) and the control group (n 198). We assessed diet by 4-d food records at baseline, 2-year follow-up and 8-year follow-up. Electromagnetic wave propagation in non-homogeneous waveguides

We investigate an electromagnetic waveguide, having several cylindrical ends. The waveguide is assumed to be empty and to have a perfectly conductive boundary. We study the electromagnetic field, excited in the waveguide in the presence of charges and currents. The field can be described as a solution of the stationary Maxwell system with conductive boundary conditions and “intrinsic” radiation conditions at infinity. We prove the problem to be well-posed. Electromagnetic waves propagation in the waveguide can be described by means of a scattering matrix. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of environmental pollution and the living conditions of indigenous Ecuadorians on the transmission of enteroparasites in an Andean agricultural area located at high altitude. Environmental pollution was recorded after observation in each community. Abstract Genotype-by-genotype interactions (epistasis) are believed to be a significant source of unexplained genetic variation causing complex chronic diseases but have been ignored in genome-wide association studies (GWAS) due to the computational burden of analysis. In this work we show how to benefit from FPGA technology for highly parallel creation of contingency tables in a systolic chain with a subsequent statistical test. We present the implementation for the FPGA-based hardware platform RIVYERA S6-LX150 containing 128 Xilinx Spartan6-LX150 FPGAs. International audience; L’objet de la présente communication est d’étudier le rôle et la place de la logistique dans les cabinets d’expertise comptable. Après avoir défini le métier d’expert-comptable et ses orientations stratégiques ainsi que la logistique appliquée au service, nous examinerons en quoi la logistique constitue un enjeu stratégique pour les cabinets d'expertise comptables. Notre démarche méthodologie reposera sur une analyse exploratoire à partir d’études de cas. Elle devra permettre de mettre en évidence les opportunités de cette logistique de service pour des cabinets d’expertise-comptable et une lecture de leur stratégie par la logistique.
