Ceramic production at Selinunte (Sicily) during the 4th and 3rd century BCE: New archaeometric data through the analysis of kiln wastes

Abstract A set of 37 overfired ceramic samples was collected from the dump of two kilns sited in the productive area FF1 in the acropolis of Selinunte (south western Sicily), being specifically active in the period 409–250 BCE. The ceramic samples were analysed by thin-section petrography and chemical analysis, with the aim to establish a valuable ‘reference group’ representative of the ceramic produced at Selinunte during the Punic phase. Abstract Four Centuripe vases dated back to the late 3rd-2nd centuries B.C. were analysed using imaging under visible and ultra-violet illumination as well as complementary non-invasive and non-destructive portable X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) and Total Reflectance – Fourier Transform InfraRed (TR-FTIR) spectroscopies. The vases are of great importance since they represent a rare expression of the Hellenistic vase painting. Cellular-Lindelof spaces generalize both Lindelof spaces and spaces with the countable chain condition. This study, based on the 'Servizi Territoriali Associati per la Ricerca' (STAR) Network Depot Study nationwide baseline data, explored whether individual symptoms severity and clusters might influence the prescription of paliperidone palmitate 1-month (PP1M) vs. aripiprazole monohydrate. The Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS) was used to assess psychopathology and relevant symptoms clusters. Drug Attitude Inventory, 10 items, was used to test attitude towards medications. Las torres de tos portales de Cuarte y de Serranos en la muralla cristiana de la ciudad de Valencia pudieron salvarse en la segunda mitad del Ochocientos a causa de albergar prisiones, mientras el resto del muro urbano estaba siendo inmolado. El presente artículo se ocupa de las primeras: sus comienzos constructivos y su historia penitenciaria desde el siglo XVII, así como su posterior destino guareciendo prisiones militares entre la década de 1820 y 1946. Además las torres de Cuarte fueron mudos testigos de ciertas reformas urbanas y otros acontecimientos. (A)

Implantable defibrillators (ICDs) use very low computational cost criteria (rate, stability and onset) offering good sensitivity for arrhythmia detection. Using Tsetlin Machine to discover interpretable rules in natural language processing applications

Tsetlin Machines (TM) use finite state machines for learning and propositional logic to represent patterns. The resulting pattern recognition approach captures information in the form of conjunctive clauses, thus facilitating human interpretation. In this work, we propose a TM-based approach to three common natural language processing (NLP) tasks, namely, sentiment analysis, semantic relation categorization and identifying entities in multi-turn dialogues. By performing frequent itemset mining on the TM-produced patterns, we show that we can obtain a global and a local interpretation of the learning, one that mimics existing rule-sets or lexicons.
