Tablet-laitteiden käyttö opetuksessa ja niiden opetuskäytön tukeminen

Opettajat käyttävät tablet-laitteita monilla eri tavoilla mutta tiedonhaku on selkeästi laitteen yksi suurimmista käyttötavoista. Tutkimusten mukaan opettajat tietävät, kuinka laitteita käytetään mutta heiltä puuttuu tieto siitä, kuinka laitteiden käyttö integroidaan opetukseen. Tällaisessa tilanteessa opettajat kaipaavat pedagogista tukea, jossa laitteiden opetuskäyttöä voidaan pohtia monia eri keinoja käyttäen. Tässä tutkielmassa selvitettiin kuinka tablet-laitteita on käytetty kouluissa ja kuinka niiden opetuskäyttöä voidaan tukea. Saadut tulokset olivat hyvin samankaltaisia kuin aiemmissakin tutkimuksissa.

Actual and Potential Pedagogical Use of Tablets in Schools

This study reviews the potential of tablet technology for teaching and learning. In autumn 2012, we conducted a focused survey comprising quantitative and qualitative questions with Finnish teachers (N = 171, from 54 schools). We focused on perceived pedagogical opportunities and the actualized pedagogical potential of tablets at schools. The survey results indicate that the actual usefulness of tablets in schools was significantly less than what teachers perceived as the pedagogical potential. However, the results demonstrate the positive impact these devices are having on teaching and learning, as well as prompting changes in pedagogical perspectives. Tableteista on muodostunut potentiaalinen vaihtoehto kouluissa käytettäväksi teknologiaksi. Tutkimuksessa haastateltiin yhteensä kahtatoista opettajaa Mobiluck- hankkeen lukioista. Tutkimusongelmana oli selvittää, miten tabletteja on hyödynnetty opetuksessa ja millaisia vaikutuksia niillä on ollut. Background and aims SSTS is a preprogrammed, non invasive, patient-activated bed-side system that enables patients to manage moderate-severe acute pain in a hospital setting. Our aim is to evaluate efficacy, ease of use of SSTS, patients and nurses’ satisfaction. Methods We evaluate pain control and general satisfaction in patients treated with SSTS after general or orthopedic prosthetic surgery. Enrollment started on April the 1st at Policlinico Paolo Giaccone in Palermo and is still ongoing. SSTS allows patients to self-administer a 15-μg sufentanil tablet sublingually with a 20-minute lockout, up to 72 hours.
